Prologue

I enjoyed the prologue of Viking Surrender, I can't wait to listen/read to Brandr and Eithne's story next, and then the rest of the series. Narrator Emma Parry does a great job with the story and the characters.

A teaser that will have you wanting more

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. The author has written a prologue that will want you craving for more. Although it's short this prologue contains intrigue, some feelings of hopelessness and then a new chance, unique solution, hostility, and sexual chemistry. Both the author and narrator are new to me and I'm very impressed with both of them. Their words flow smoothly and immediately captivate the listener. Since neither the villagers or the Viking are crazy about this arrangement it should lead to some interesting stories. I hope the following stories come out in audiobooks. I highly recommend this Audible prologue.

A grand beginning

It is a grand beginning that makes the reader want the whole series. There is a few unexpected twists that I wish to see how they own out.

Sexy viking romance

I received this audible free and I am voluntarily doing a review. I'm new to this author but the sexy cover caught my eye first off, then the reviews let me know it was type if read along with the blurb. The author has a great writing style and is absolutely brilliant. I love that the sexy warrior viking males get their brides. This narrator brought the book to life . Its a must read/listen

Can these warriors strike a deal to find brides and a new home?

Vikings is the prologue or the beginning of how these nine battle-hardened warriors strike a bargain with nine brides. Oh my goodness, I am so intrigued with this collection of Viking stories and I can’t wait to read and listen to more already! I absolutely loved that there’s a slight humor, a bit of suspense, and a whole lot of tension in this short novella to get some of the romances started as well as the random pickings to find out the rest of the couples. Ms. Parry did a fantastic job with the names, accents, tones of voices, and each character was brought to life! I felt like I was right there with the women as they fought to save their people and their home! I am so excited for the next book in this series!

Short prologue

Not to bad. A bit short and i could not really get into it......confusing. I found the narrator a bit forced and stocky🤔

This is the beginning of an enthralling series!

I loved this book! A village of women, children, and a few old or injured men. Raids from clans on either side have either taken their animals and crops or just destroyed them. When three Viking ships land, they make a deal for the Vikings to marry some of the women. The village will have protection, food, and everything needed to thrive again. The warriors will have wives, children and a new home. This is a fantastic series and not the first time I've visited these stories. To me these are stories I will read over and over. The narrator was great as well.

Vikings

The stage has been set for what looks to be a great series. A bargain has been struck and I’m looking forward to seeing how each of the agreed couplings play out.

Ashe Barker gave us the great backstory that prepares us for the next book.

I enjoyed Emma Parry’s narration.
