Shoot me for this late Five Star Review

I read each of Emmanuelle De Maupassant's Viking books as she released them. This is the third in the series, and is just as good as the first two, possibly better. Emma Parry's voice lends itself to this story amazingly well.

This story, which I will NOT reveal or spoil the listen, is gritty, sexy, steamy, and in its own way, romantic. Before you give a listen, remember Emmanuelle is known for erotica, so don't be expecting crumpets and lemonade. Expect a steamy Viking tale with a strong woman and a strong man. She doesn't know how else to write her characters, they're always interesting and well developed. This narration by Emma Parry will not disappoint you one bit. If you're looking for a nice, steamy story for a quiet evening. This is it!

Viking Beast

Once again Elswyth finds her world turned upside down. On what was to be the happiest day of her life soon turns into the worst. She finds herself the captive of the man known as The Beast. Her only chance at survival is to submit to the man and try to keep her baby safe but not everyone is as loyal as they portray and Elswyth is only a pawn in their games. As she fights for survival Elswyth soon finds her emotions coming to the forefront and she must make some hard choices if she wants to survive.

This book brings more of Elswyth’s fight for survival. It seems that she is constantly finding herself fighting for her happiness. It was nice to see her begin to grow into a strong woman ready to take on whatever life throws at her. She is far from perfect, but she is a good woman who only longs for love and safety. It was nice to see the friendships that she makes along the way. In this book we meet The Beast and we see how love can tame a man but what it can do when it is taken away from him. I do hope that we get to see more from The Beast in the future. The author does a good job of keeping the story and the characters engaging in this book and through out the series. Narrator Emma Parry does a good job of bringing these characters to life and keeping the listener engaged.

great story

i love this story , it has adventure, attacks, revenge. love that is tested, strong women that is in love of a man that is killed on their wedding day and she is kidnapped by a man that is in the group of warriors that attack her camp. the leader name beast finds out who she is and who she belongs to and he decides to make her his slave, bad time turn around when beast falls in love with her , what will happen , there is so many turns and shocks in this story, and things are not always what they seem like. I enjoyed this and Emma Parry did a great job, as the narrator

Viking Beast

This book is about Elswyth's struggle to find her place being from 2 worlds but not fitting in either.
This is a dark story and may not be for everyone but its was definitely right for me. I definitely recommend reading these books in order. The ending was completely unexpected.

I don't normally enjoy first person stories however I can say that listening to a book written in first person is much better than reading it myself so it worked out. The narrator did an ok job very easy to listen to.

I recommend this story to those who like their historical romance dark

This young Viking woman has endured much in her life. She had to adapt to survive and protect her unborn child. Like many women of today, she has a inner strength that kept pushing her forward and helped heal her heart.

This book was very interesting and intriguing. I like Viking stories. This one had a lot of action and was a love story. I liked it very much. I can’t wait to listen to the other books you have written. The narrator was very good at telling the story too.

The truth comes to light HEA/ HAWT

The scenes in this Norse folklore was so hot and steamy but the best part is the excellent story and narration. I felt an array of emotions and found myself shouting at certain characters and I loved it. This 3rd audiobook focused mainly on Elswyth and her final adventure before truly having her on HEA. Awesome book, 5 stars.
FYI, I did receive this audiobook in exchange for a honest review, but I will be purchasing more audiobooks from this author.

Listen to Emma reading the highs and lows of our Hero’s lives. Some time life is good but mostly their times are horrendous.
How the women tolerated what men did to them beats me. This book is the pulling together of all three books. Miss de Maupassant did an excellent job of writing the tale of the Viking Warriors, even though it was difficult to think about sometimes.

Emmanuelle de Maupassant captures the nuances of the period and the Viking culture, creating a fantastic story with dark components. An excellent Viking audiobook

This is the third installment in the story of Elswyth and her life with the Vikings.

To say that Elswyth has been on a journey thus far (from the previous two books) would be an understatement, and in this audiobook so much more happens to her. I really enjoyed the audio narration and the audiobook itself. It really did evoke the atmosphere to me of life in the Viking era, and I was wholeheartedly transported there.

De Maupassant really knows how to use language and craft a really engaging and intelligent story. Her book's build up the tension and give us unexpected endings. Nothing seems to be a given in her world. It is brutal, it is not for the faint-hearted, and it is a story of a strong female and her survival in a tough world. This is a really remarkable novel. A definite recommend from me for Viking story enthusiasts.

I did thoroughly enjoy the tale

The change of narrator threw me initially and I had to listen to the prologue and first two chapters twice but that could also been due to my multitasking at the time.
I did thoroughly enjoy the tale and was glad I had read the two previous books so I was more in touch with the heroines mindset.Also I wanted to know more of how the beast coped afterwards too so I hope there is another book for his HEA.
