Every assassin has an exit strategy - their ultimate plan for leaving that dangerous life and disappearing. They just never expect to live long enough to enact it. Gabriel Prescott was no different. But everything changed when he met fellow mercenary Justin Mallory.
Now, he’s racing across Europe with Justin to put to rest old threats before they can end both their lives. Of course, it will also mean coming clean to Justin about exactly who he is and who wants him dead. Gabriel can only hope that Justin will still want him when the truth comes out.

Oh boy are there twist and turns in here! Lots of action, drama, and a little betrayal. I was sitting on the edge of my seat.
This is a great book, but Kenneth Obi gives each character great voice and I loved Gabriel’s Russian accent and Colton’s southern one. I cannot wait for the next book!
exciting , witty and sexy

Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes
I listened to the 3 books in this series back to back. Each book was better than the one before it and overall made for an enjoyable series.
Vengeful Lover: I enjoyed this better than Book 1, the story was better developed and flowed more smoothly, the pace was good, the 2 MC's continue to come together building on their relationship and are working better as a team - lots of action and drama with a bit of betrayal thrown in for good measure. The story line does reference the novella that was set between books 1 and 2 but it isn't necessary to have read it.
I continue to enjoy Kenneth Obi's narration, he's done a great job bringing this series to life. Each character is voiced consistently from the previous book, their personality comes through and all the emotions are there adding to the audio experience
better than book 1
