Fantastic

Once again, Emma Faye has masterfully brought to life the characters and story in this series. I can't tell which I enjoy more, the narration or the book itself. Highly recommend!

A great sequel!

In Veil of Mist we see Cora and the rest of the characters grow and evolve! The politics are complex and that makes it an excellent fantasy read! The ending made me anxious to get the next book in my hands! A fun read that will make you thrist for more!!

Heartbreaking yet beautiful

At first I didn't like how it was narrated but after a while I got used to it, the story was so moving and provoking it made me feel apart of it, screaming and shouting at the characters. I'm certainly going to want to read it listen to the rest of the books in this series.

Better and Better

If I thought the first book was good, this one was incredible! I was a bit concerned when the last one ended because I couldn't figure out how there could be much conflict in this one, but it gripped my attention all the way through and I can't wait to hear how the story resolves.

Good fantasy sequel

I enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was excellent, and the story was interesting. I listened to the first book last year, and was happy to listen to the sequel and find out what happened to the characters.

Kept my interest!

Good storyline with exciting characters! While the narrators’s performance was not my favorite, I actually enjoyed book 2 of this story more than book 1. With a more complex plot and exciting twists, I would certainly be interested in any continuation of the story!

Loved this book

This book was so good! The characters changed and grew as the story continued and we got to learn more about how people became who they did. The narrator had a few times that were hard to differentiate which character was talking but other all it was still very good. I really enjoyed the story and want to know what will happen next. We get to learn more about where the unicorns come from and also what happened to people a long time ago.

Fantasy!

Loved this story! Just like the first story , The fantasy world comes to life. This time what would it be like to become queen! Narrator makes the story!

Veil of Mist

The series continues. I enjoyed this book. The story line is great. I like the growth of the characters. I did like that this book ends on a HFN in a way instead of such a cliffhanger. Can't wait to see where this series ends.

An unexpected gem

When I got the first book of the Lela trilogy I honestly expected a cheesy dud, but was pleasantly surprised. Book 2 of the trilogy was just as good! I love the characters and the storyline, the love stories and the tangled web of kingdoms and ruling and magic. Another thing that makes these books stand out is they are each a separate story from a continuing storyline. You aren’t left with a cliffhanger that makes you crazy for the next book, yet it was good enough that you look forward to the next book.

There are a couple characters that are annoying but I keep telling myself “they are growing”, and they are.

The narration is not my favorite. She makes all the men sound evil and angry all the time. I love how the narrator tries to differentiate pacing, accents and voices between characters, but some of it is a bit annoying.
