Good story and great ending!

This is a fantastic story. I love this story because it just keeps getting better and better. The author and narrator do a fabulous job with this story.

Problems with This One

Overall I really liked this series. The pace and character development were great. The only issue I had was when the MC had a choice to kill a former friend and she did not take it. This resulted in the needless deaths of more innocence by the hands of the former friends. As a leader she needs to make tough calls and this serious error, which was contrary to here development this far, bothered me a great deal. It seemed more so that the author just didn’t want to kill off that character.

New spin on vampire lore and it was very interesting. I like that certain plots were not drawn out and the action was constant

Best series… ever

I feel that this is the best series I have ever read/listened to. I have literally never wanted to devour a book since my very young Twilight years (don’t worry this is nothing like that, and if you’ve come this far you already know that)

The entire story (all 6 books) is amazing and the the character development is *chefs kiss*. Literally do not want the story to stop.

Happy with the ending

Although I agree with some commenters that the premise of much of the conflict at the end of this book series could have been avoided, I thoroughly enjoyed these last two books, especially the ending. I’m sad that not everyone survived, but I’m also happy that the world isn’t ruled by (SOFT SPOILER) Mariana (sorry can’t spell!). I also liked that these characters seemed real - no one was perfect.

I’ll admit that Alex does become alittle irritating, but I think that only shows how most people would react in her position (and tbh you need to be confident to do her work). Also, I can’t help but think that reactions (including my own) could be different if Alex was a man and not a woman. I’ve watched countless movies/shows where the (mainly male) MC is arrogant and a bit self centered, but they don’t receive so much hate or criticism. Part of me was irritated that Alex didn’t have much compassion for the “true” vampires dying but I think that also showed us that Alex really doesn’t think vampires are living creatures, which is extremely likely how a majority of us would react in her situation. In that sense it was alittle cool to get a snippet of potential discrimination towards the vampires! Interesting world building!

One of my favorite series!

I absolutely loved this entire series. It was such a different take on vampires and the world they inhabit. Full of twists and turns and amazing character development.
My one and only complaint is that I want more! I did not want this series to end but the ending itself was excellent and fulfilling.

Awesome series!!!

This entire series was throughoughly enjoyable! The writing and narration are top notch. Character and plot development is excellent and the authors really know how to engage the reader and draw them in. There were laugh out loud moments, sad and unbelievable ones and edge of your seat chapters where I couldn't put it down/shut off audible. I highly recommend to anyone especially if you're into sci fi. It is a totally different take on a very saturated subject matter, vampires, and I found it incredibly refreshing, interesting and captivating from book 1 to this last installment. I'm sad it's over! But I'm 100% certain I will be re-listening to this down the road, it's just that good. Thanks to the talented authors and incredible performance by the narrator!
