Molly has educated the world so much on disability and has completely changed the way I view disability. The social model of disability needs to be our new normal! Everyone needs to hear her speak. 10/10 as with everything she does!

Mastered authenticity

Molly Burke has truly mastered, sharing her authentic experience as a visually impaired and blind person, touching on so many points that those of us in the blind and visually impaired community experience on a regular basis. She courageously shares even some of the most humbling and hurtful moments, allowing readers to experience her reality, but also to be able to own their own. Through her example of determination and advocacy she helps others to realize that they can and should be seen. I will definitely share this book with my girls when they are old enough. Highly recommended.

I’ve been following Molly on YouTube since 2018, and I’ve been part of her Patreon since April (I am CAREBEAR from Patreon! 🥰), so when Unseen was announced, I was beyond excited. I’ve literally been counting down the days for this release—and when it finally arrived, I had to stop myself from flying through it in one sitting. I forced myself to slow down and really savor every bit of it, and honestly I’m so glad I did.

I did an immersive read (reading the physical copy while listening to the audiobook)—and wow. Just wow. Molly absolutely nailed the narration. She’s such a natural behind the mic, and hearing the story in her own voice made it feel even more personal and authentic, like she was sitting right there in the room telling me her story. It added this beautiful layer of connection that made the whole experience unforgettable.

I also listened to Molly’s previous book “It’s Not What It Looks Like” and thoroughly enjoyed it as well!

Molly, if you’re reading this—you need to consider doing more audiobook narrations because you were phenomenal. The emotion came through so clearly, and it felt real in a way that only you could deliver. Unseen was everything I hoped for and more—raw, inspiring, emotional, and so perfectly “Molly.” Absolute perfection, and I can’t wait for the next! 🩷

P.S. I also loved the chapter names, and the fact that she created a playlist where each chapter had its own theme song!
