Some love stories are meant to stay in the shadows.

Aria Bektashi has never belonged. A child refugee of war, she built a life on scraps and sacrifice, keeping her head down and her heart guarded. Then came Crispin Du Valares-the ambitious son of privilege, drawn to her in ways neither of them could explain. For three years, they existed in secret, bound by passion but divided by the world between them.

She never asked for love. Only honesty. But when a single cruel moment shatters everything, Aria walks away, determined never to be anyone's shame.

She disappears, leaving behind the ruins of what could have been.

But some bonds refuse to break. And when Crispin finally finds her, the woman standing before him is not the one he once kept in the dark. She has rebuilt herself-stronger, untouchable. Except for the one secret she can't outrun.

Now, he'll do whatever it takes to bring her back. But Aria is no longer willing to be anyone's secret.

A story of passion, betrayal, and the fight to claim the love we truly deserve.

The blurb pulled me in. But almost 7 hours in and the pathetic fmc is still pining for weak ass mmc.

8 hours in and still pathetic. She's pregnant and she doesn't even care for the baby. She only keeps thinking of the stupid mmc until she collapsed from dehydration and anemia. I thought she's supposed to be strong considering what she went through since childhood and how she was able to raise her baby sister by herself. But no, a few sweet words from a man and she became stupid.

I've finally finished it and somewhat accepted/forgiven the H.
