Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author Sky Corgan comes a sexy new billionaire romance.

I've spent my entire adult life avoiding dating, which is funny because I work for a matchmaking service. My boss calls me "The Beast" because of my no B.S. attitude. My job is to scare away problem clients - the unmatchables.

In waltzes Mister Alfred Barnes. He's stuck up, brazen, and mouthwateringly gorgeous. Guys like him think they own the world, but in here I'm in charge. Kicking him out of my office is one of my greatest pleasures...until I find out that he totally lied about his identity.

Someone is going to get fired over this, and it might be me.

Now Mister Barnes is after me. After me in the most unexpected of ways. I've never dealt with anyone like him before, and years of therapy tell me that he's exactly not what I need.

What does my therapist know, though? She has her own secrets, and I'm beginning to think that everyone is out to destroy me. I'm beginning to think that I'm the one who is unmatchable.

This is a standalone novel. No cliffhangers.

A Well Written, Well told story with depth!

What a great book, this is my first Sky Corgan book and will not be my last. The story starts off lightheartedly and captured me from the start. But as the story unfolds some serious & issues are brought up. I will not get in to details but will say I love how realistic the author covers the struggles of dealing with them. The characters, Ember and Colton are so different yet so wonderful for each other. I love how the Pervert tamed the Beast.

I listened to the Audible version and the narrator Meghan Kelly was spot on in her telling of the story. Meghan Kelly is also amazingly talented and has the ability to change vocals for each character with out even hearing a breath. Her story telling flows so nicely you would think there was more than one narrator.

Thank you for a great read and great listen!

I really like Sky Corgan, she’s such a good writer and did a wonderful job creating a strong female character. As someone who did the online dating thing, I found a good chuckle at a number of the stories. Meghan Kelly did a wonderful job narrating, Such a good performance!

A lovely and emotional journey, this is a very solid story. I was frustrated at times, but there is always heart at the core. There is wonderful narration, and it's great to get to know the characters.

The Pervert and the Beast

Ember is known as ‘the Beast’ at the match making firm where she works...it’s her job to get rid of difficult clients...and she’s freaking awesome at it!!! One of her recent clients is a rude, self absorbed guy named Alfred and she quickly puts him in his place...out the door. Unbeknownst to Ember, her company has been sold to a venture capitalist named Colton Larson. Here’s where things get interesting...Colton IS Alfred! And Colton really liked the beautiful snarky Beast. He starts stalking her on a dating site and playful banter ensues. Ember started using the dating site to ‘get in the game’. We learn that something happened in her past that caused her to be skittish about dating. She is intrigued by one particular person on the site. Imagine her surprise when she discovers that her rude ex-client, the new owner of her company & the interesting guy on the site are the same person!! Colton asks her out and the pair begin dating. They open up to each other about their pasts and they feel comfortable with each other. But just when things seem to be going well, their pasts come back to muddy the waters. Will Ember give in to her insecurities and end the best thing that’s happened to her? Will Colton get tired of fighting for her love?
Great story of overcoming drug addiction, sexual abuse and forgiveness. Love the ending!

Great Performance!!

Meghan Kelly's narration portrayed every emotion to perfection, which makes of this story a whole different experience than the one you may have when reading the book, exactly what happend to me.

The story turns out to be a bit dark at times and while in the description Ember is portrayed as strong and in charge, someone that takes no B.S. from anyone, sadly she's quite the opposite. However, listening to Meghan Kelly I had the chance to understand Ember's struggles.

The performance is deserving of 5 Shining Stars.

Unmatchable Matched!

Sky Corgan is a talented author who often weaves dark into books and then back to light. I found this book to have damaged characters that are vulnerable and insecure at times. Throughout the story, I felt the love and encouragement changing the outcome. Meghan Kelly did an awesome performance with her distinguishable voices for the various characters. She was able to deliver realistic emotions that the listener could feel. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. I found this book to be time well enjoyed listening.

A refreshing change?

This book is much different from the normal Sky Corgan books that I am used to, and I loved it. The story starts out light with Ember and Colton with their flirty banter on a dating app, but there is a definite underlying seriousness that gives it some bite and keeps it interesting. Ember has had a rough life, and when her past catches up to her, her vulnerable and insecure side is evident. While I am not fond of weak women, I could easily feel for Ember and found her character very true to life. Seeing her change due to the encouragement and love from Colton is truly beautiful. Colton has some extreme trust issues that will take a lot ot overcome, but he is easy to love with his crude language. Once Ember breaks through his arrogance I found him to be a rock for her to lean on..the question is would she use his strength to find her way to happiness? Corgan has truly written a wonderful story and I enjoyed listening to it.

With her distinguishable voices, Meghan Kelly narrates this book with such emotion and wit that it was easy to immerse myself in the story. She provides a wonderful performance as always.

The depth of one as a human being having a very real human experience

Initially upon listening to Unmatchable I saw a woman who was so rigid in her professionalism and controlling the one thing she could in her life — herself and her career — which she does ever so amazingly until she meets Alfred Barnes (aka her new boss) — while it had some elements of undercover boss included for merit — the story starts to unravel as more of Embers past becomes known when an unexpected visitor or two come to town which really shake Ember’s foundational Fake it til you make it rock she had erected for herself ... add onto the dilemma she has at work as she uncovers the true identity of Mr Barnes courtesy of a photo he sent Ms, Washington via social media via another dating app they both take part in — Colton Larson is playing a game — admittedly he does enjoy the backwards and forwards banter he has with Ember and finds some parallels where he wants to reveal who he is — Given Embers switched on mind and she actually uncovers his true identity confronting him and thinking oh heck my job is on the line —-

As they’re chemistry evolves and progresses a lot more of the walls come down that Ember has erected In her young life as does some of the baggage which has made Colton Larson who he is today — until they met each other — the harder Ember falls for Colton, the more exposed and fraudulent she feels — the demons from her childhood leave her raw, open and often metaphorically bleeding on the floor — her low self esteem around what happened in her teens — cracks the strong facade she is trying to hold together — wanting Colton but in the same breath feeling unworthy why would he want someone like her who is nothing — she doesn’t matter she never mattered if she did all the horrors wouldn’t have happened to her — Here she is having a very human experience — and Colton steps up and is just there for her — if only she could see herself as he sees her — in the idyllic world if we all saw ourself as others see us what would the problem be? It truly was exceptional listening to this audiobook Meghan Kelly did an amazing job as Ember taking us on the heretic journey of questionable wit at times with both parties feeling unmatchable — but through the journey the two souls that were at loggerheads throughout the novel in places turned out to be a match made in heaven albeit once she got out of her head and into her heart ♥️ it was a wonderful journey Thankyou for the gift of listening for an honest review ♥️

Hook, Line and Sinker!!

Unmatchable is the perfect romance for modern times. Online dating services are popular, but do they truly help find perfect matches. Dating services are more personal, yet helpful for the busy person. But what happens to those who are difficult to match, those who do not follow the rules, or those who have nothing in common with most? They meet Ember, better known as "the Beast". Colton finds himself on the wrong side of Ember's desk. But he is intrigued enough to find a way to her good graces. Colton and Ember start out on completely opposite ends. But you know how they say opposites attract? Read this story and find out if that statement holds true! Ember is a strong, independent woman, who enjoys her job and does it well. Colton is a self absorbed man who gets what he wants. Will he get Ember to be his? Will he be able to contain her fire? This is one book you will not be able to put down.

Meghan Kelly's narration enhanced the experience of the story. Her ability to keep the characters seperated by different and consistent tones made the narration very easy to follow. Meghan's voice is easy to listen to and helps you get lost in the story. Thanks to Meghan's narration, this story became a movie in my mind.

Unmatchable got matched.

While I absolutely loved the first part of the book, but the second part seemed to slow right down.
Ember was like two different people. On the outside—to strangers—she was straightforward with a no-nonsense attitude. On the inside, she was a nervous wreck with low-self esteem, especially when it came to her personal life. I completely understand this. Who would want others to see their broken self? Nobody. People put up barriers to keep people from finding out the truth; that they're not as strong as they would have you believe.
Colton was a good character. He wanted to stand by Ember and her self-destructive view of herself. He was kind and all the way through, though I thought the way he was'pervy' to her was a little inappropriate, considering what she'd been through. He was also quick to try to get her into a sexual situation, even though she said she wasn't ready.
What I found odd, was that Ember wasn't put off, and instead played along as though she liked it.

Overall, I felt the blurb didn't quite match the story, but I thought it was a decent read. Slow after the halfway point, but good.

I received an audiobook version for an honest review.
