After almost putting this set of books down after a disturbing scene in the first book, I have to say I’m glad I finished. It was a great combination of passion, adventure and angst. Then too, I can listen to Ryan West everyday all day.

A satisfying ending.
Part 3 of 3 part serial. Not a standalone.
Heroine Alex and hero Daimon are re-united (yay!) and undertake serious risks for their love, lives and future. I found their tale adventurous and worthwhile.
The problems they face cannot be overcome overnight. I admired that the author put the couple through their time paces – a realistic time frame for their lives to come full circle into some semblance of normal. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and the epilogue is extremely satisfying. Alex and Daimon are finally rewarded for the sacrifices and difficulties of the past. It really was a journey out of the darkness and into the light. Really good.
Entertaining and enjoyable, even if dark.

The conclusion of a unique adventure
This is not your typical Cassia story. This is not a sweet romance. This is not a stand-alone. You must listen to all three books for an ending. There is plenty of violence, intrigue, unique characters and crude sex so if you do not like any of these things do not read. If you love listening to stories that are just that, stories that take your mind on an unbelievable, exciting, journey of a young woman thrown in to an unbelievable situation and trained as a super weapon without knowing why this is for you. Just remember that not all fairy tales are about the good prince and princess!
