This is a gripping story. So sad this is real in the US at this time. The political angst in my country pales into insignificance compared to the waste of energy spent in damage control with a deranged mad man at the helm. His reign is a great lesson to the world. Omarosa is a gutsy lady.

Unhinged seems to describe Omarosa or Trump
Not a Trump fan but this book is just ridiculous and Omarosa seems to be very, VERY self absorbed. In addition she just seems to go off on little rants and spends a lot of time blowing her own trumpet (pardon the pun!) and because of that she doesn’t do her valid points justice. For example I’m not sure there’s any need for her autobiography to be telling us what designer dress she wore to an emmys over a decade ago (pink fuschia, blah blah blah in case you cared) Her speaking is clear however her occasional Trump impressions are just stupid, awful and are simply unnecessary. Her performance is also belittled by her seemingly trying to add emotion to certain areas but it just comes across as though someone is reading to a child and is pretty poor. When she isn’t doing that though her reading is good. Personally I would recommend avoiding this book...if you’re looking for a decent Trump-linked book check out Comeys “a higher loyalty” which is MUCH better.

Self-aggrandising tosh
This must be the most infuriating story I've heard about Trump's career towards the Presidency. Compared to Michael Wolff, Jim Acosta, and Bob Woodward, Unhinged is an exercise in sustained self-justification and ambition. Omarosa Newman worked with DJT for over ten years on The Apprentice, long before he moved into the White House and since. She's either a terrible judge of character or during those years she wilfully ignored some massive clues to his obnoxious personality and toxic attitudes. As a black American, she should have walked out long before she did. But she hung on through Charlottesville and Haiti, through his evident misogyny and all the lies, trying to explain her justification for staying on. It's a self-referential tome and I'm glad to be done with it.

Interesting but becomes grating.
I enjoyed the story and hearing the inside of the White House stories but Omarosa's views come across as 'he said, she said'. There's no doubt Donald Trump is a lair and a loose canon, but listening to Omarosa gets tiresome as she can be condescending. I'm certainly not a Trump fan, so listen to it but take the views expressed with a pinch of salt (and be aware of the high and mighty opinions).

More about Omarosa's desire for success than Trump
I had expected to read about an Unhinged President, instead it was ramblings about how Omarosa was shocked, saddened, or troubled by Trump's actions until she is offered a new position of power within the Trump hierarchy. Probably the worst of the Trump books thus far, really looking forward to Bob Woodward's Fear, save you money.

Enthralling!
Omarosa skilfully captivates her audience with her thorough account of events that have been of morbid fascination to the world. It has been incredible using her unique perspective to fill in gaps of knowledge we have in the public’s view. Thank you too for those tantalising snippets ... who is having or had a relationship in the WH? Who is the family member working against things. All will be revealed in the fullness of time no doubt. As an extra bonus, Amarosa narrates her book herself. I’m loving this trend in audiobooks. Thanks for your book and good luck for the future!

Don't waste your money!
I couldn't even get through half of this book. Omarosa is tedious and vain. It was hard to remember what she was writing about between her self obsession, trashy TV appearances and attempts to impress Trump. It was forced, poorly written and an obvious way to cash in on the Trump ex-employee train.

It is an OK book
The strong aspect of the audible is the reader. She has a really nice voice and that makes for a pleasurable experience in listening to her book. The book itself is alright as a description of what she remembers as the important moments she had in the White House. But it is not really a profound analysis of the Trump Administration. Omarosa glimpses over those, yet it is somewhat interesting to hear them at least for the new information they give from her personal perspective.

Interesting.
I do find this an interesting listen from an insider perspective'...… but I find it self-serving and too little too late as well. I find she's trying too hard to write her own history, before history does it for her, so history will record her well. It is interesting to read from one insider's perspective - but from someone living far away from what is happening in the USA, I find her self-justification shallow. Yes she was a woman in the inner sanctum …… she was aware all was not well for a long time prior to being evicted from the inner sanctum.... and now like the high achiever she is, she is making the most of it by writing a book. Interesting read. Good insight. Self serving. Was it worth it - yes.

Complete self-indulgence (yes, even for Omarosa)
The title of “Unhinged” leads you down the garden path. You would be forgiven for believing this was about an unhinged Donald Trump, but that’s not quite so, it is more about the author. I think a more accurate title would of been: The Life & Times of Omarosa Manigault Newman. While I wouldn’t have bought it, if that’s the kind of thing you like, you will like this book, it tell the story of Omarosa, as written by Omarosa, given that, I would rate it 3*, 4* with a different narrator. From the start it’s read with over the top and completely unnecessary dramatics, like only Omarosa could, after almost 3 hours in I couldn’t take anymore.
