Publisher's summary

One former Navy SEAL. One woman in search of her kidnapped brother. One ancient lost city in the cloud forests of the Andes.

Former Navy SEAL Logan O'Connor is big, rough, and a little wild. He thrived as a SEAL...until he trusted the wrong woman. After a horrible betrayal that almost left him dead, he now works for his best friend at Treasure Hunter Security. He doesn't like the sand, the jungle, or the mosquitoes, but he gets the job done - protecting archeological digs and expeditions. What he likes even less are liars. As he finds himself heading to Peru with a cool, classy CEO in search of her kidnapped brother, Logan knows one thing: Sydney Granger isn't telling him the entire truth.

After the death of her father, Sydney is trying to learn the ropes as CEO of Granger Industries while her brother runs off to research a pre-Incan culture. But one ransom demand leaves her terrified - a lethal black-market antiquities syndicate has kidnapped her brother. The only people she can turn to is Treasure Hunter Security, and that includes big, annoying Logan, who makes it clear he doesn't like her.

As they are swept into a deadly adventure into the cloud forests of the Andes, tracing the steps of the mysterious Warriors of the Clouds, danger dogs their every step. Logan and Sydney are drawn closer together, secrets are uncovered, shots are fired, and both of them might just find something more valuable than treasure in the depths of the forests.

Love it!

This is a terrific series that caters to both action and romance junkies. From the sands of the Egypt (Undiscovered), the jungles of Cambodia (Uncharted) now to the jungles of Peru, the people of Treasure Hunter Security find love and adventure. Each story presents the history and mythology of an area that encourages the reader to explore the background of ancient cultures.
I really enjoyed Logan and Sydney's story and found it a fast paced, well written read.

Heartpound, Fun, Sizzling Adventure!

The Thrills continue in Hackett's third book of the Treasure Hunter Security series! This adventure takes us to the mysterious cloud forests of the Andes. After her father's passing, Sydney becomes the new CEO of Granger Industries, instead of her brother, who has run off to research a pre-Incan culture. Suddenly she receives a terrifying call that her brother has been kidnapped, and his life is in danger if she doesn't come imediately and pay the ransom. Sydney hires Logan from Treasure Hunter Security to help her rescue her brother. Former Navy SEAL Logan O’Connor is rugged and wild and he makes it clear he is not interested in the buttoned up executive. He has been betrayed before and he isn't interested in risking his heart again. But Sydney has secrets that surprise Logan and he has definitely met his match with this strong, intelligent, and sexy woman. But danger lurks all around them and as one clue leads to another, it is a race against time to rescue her brother before the lethal kidnapers catch up to them, or the mysterious Warriors of the Clouds kills them all.
Stella Bloom continues to narrate this fun, adventurous, heartpounding, and sizzling story. She delivers all the excitement, emotion, wit, and steam, bringing these characters and story to life, beautifully. This is a quick listen but packs so much fun and adventure! I can't wait to listen to the next books in Teasure Hunter Security series!

Peru and a lost brother

THS -Treasure Hunter Security.
First Egypt, then Cambodia, and now Peru. The third installment of this wonderful series involves Logan and Sydney. Logan is a man who has been burned by betrayal in the past and is very reluctant to put faith in any woman who is less than honest. Sydney Granger is now the head of the family company, but is more concerned with finding a way to get her brother Drew out of the clutches of Silk Road- an organization that THS has encountered before - to divulge her former CIA operative days. She just knows that she needs help and makes contact.

As with all good stories, this one starts with major sparks - the kind that usually lead to either fights or more pleasant, but still heated exchanges. While on the journey to save her brother, Sydney and Logan have a difficult time trying to keep their minds from conjuring all sorts of interesting thoughts about each other, but when Logan finds out Sydney is more than she appears, will he be able to overlook omissions of her past and see the opportunity for happiness that's right in front of him? Will they find her brother, the lost treasure site, and beat back Silk Road one more time? Read the book to find out.

I absolutely love this series and this story is no different. The ability to combine the intrigue, suspense, action, and romantic chemistry of a romance novel with real places that have a mystique all there own is truly a gift. The Chachapoyas aren't a culture I'd say I knew about before, but I am definitely interested now and am entertained by the historic/imaginative "What if?" take brought to this book.

Excited!

I can't wait to get to the other books. I am so excited because I believe Kincaid's story will be even better. She is so going to fall hard. Anna has done a good job with this series, they are short novels but just packed with so much action and adventure. Stella as the narrator just tops it off.

Love the story and love the narrator. Super fast listen. Stella Bloom does an awesome job on each of the characters voices so there was no confusing parts about who was talking.

Assumptions proved wrong!

Anna Hackett proved the old saying true about assumptions. Which asks the question “You know what they say happens when you assume? What? You make an ass out of you and me!” Logan and Sydney relationship began with assumptions about each other solely based on outer appearances. However, when placed in situations where they were forced to depend on each other, their true characters were revealed. Thank goodness both of them were intellectually honest and forthright people who were able to also defend themselves!! It didn’t hurt that their friends were just as capable, if not more so than themselves! So, before you judge someone to be unworthy, get to know them first. Stella Bloom’s narration was wonderful as well!
