Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Willow Summers comes the exciting continuation of Jenna and Josh's story.

With Jenna's safety in his hands, Josh must finally brave the horrors of his past. Aided by his former Navy buddy and his father, the General, he'll take on the worst that organized crime can throw at them.

The question is, will it be enough?

Horrible MCs continue in this book

Overall opinion: 1.5/5 Stars

THIS IS A 3 PART STORY WITH TWO CLIFFHANGERS. IF YOU DON'T LIKE CLIFFHANGERS, DON'T READ THIS BOOK!

They get worse in this book, believe it or not.

The H breakdown
15% Obnoxious
25% Nice
10% Whiney
50% Overly Aggressive/Possessive/*
* at times, physically aggressive / abusive

At one point, the H is choking the h and her best friend makes excuses for it!

The h is still irredeemable in my eyes. Headstrong to the point of TSTL. Stand in front of a window or disobey simple orders meant to keep you alive... because you don't like it when someone tells you what to do! Really?

I will finish out the series only to see how it ends.

Narrator’s Jax is hard to whiny.

Narrator’s voice for Jax is whiny. Gratingly hard to listen to. Great story, & narrator does great job with other voices.

Unexpected Danger

Great continuation of an excellent story. In part 2 of this trilogy we get to dig a lot deeper into Jenna and Josh's stories and start to find out what makes them tick, while also watching them run/hide and fight for their lives. The narration is excellent. This book is worth every penny!

Twisted but interesting

There are some parts in this series, and this book in particular where the mind games are a bit extreme! All in all, it's a great series, I totally don't mind that it was three books because Josh has so much character growth, totally worth all the hours of listening!
Narration - ok but some of the male voices are weird, Jacks should have had a better voice for someone so important to the story. Why couldn't it have been closer to Josh's voice instead of that weird scraggly sound?

Unexpected Danger

Love Josh with a passion, would like to bitch slap some sense into Jenna. Jax has even grown on me. The narrator has done such a great job of bringing these characters to life. My only complaint? Did it really need 3 books to tell the tale?

The war within

This was a good book! It had a lot of action with a rough romance between two stubborn people.

The suspense continues

Josh and Jenna continue to evade whoever wants her dead. I love how Willow Summers has evolved Josh to the point he is going after what he wants, namely Jenna. The only problem, Jenna is running as fast as she can from committing. Samara Naeymi delivers this story with aplomb.

Great addition to series, yet standalone listen

I love the writing style of Willow Summers and really enjoyed listening to this book. I selected to listen to this book after the 3rd in series (Unexpected Guardian) was released. I felt the first book ended in a cliffhanger, while this one did not. The next in the series should tie up the loose ends. This book is full of suspense, action, romance, some humor and unexpected twists. I really thought that Samara Naeymi did a great performance with the various characters and their voices. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I try not to give away spoilers either. I really am looking forward to learning what happens next.

An exciting continuation in the Skyline Trilogy.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this audiobook IF you've read/listened to the first in the series. Samara Naeymi helps bring the book to life. There's suspense, drama, humor, heartbreak, and some sexy scenes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unexpected Danger?

When the girls are hiding in the bush facing down the barrel of a gun...

What does Samara Naeymi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Samara Naeymi uses different voices for all the characters, good use of inflection, and pacing to help bring the story to life and make it more exciting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Jenna is fighting her true feelings and leaves to go back to NY.

Any additional comments?

I've read this series and enjoyed listening to it as much as I did reading it.

Really Good Story, It Just Keeps Getting Better

Wow, what a great story so much action and suspense. This is the second book of a trilogy which I listened to 6 months after listening to book one, Unexpected Hero, which I really enjoyed so when I started this book it had to do two things:-

Firstly, it had to build on the world Willow Summers had already created for me. I wanted to know more about Josh and Jenna and Jaxs too! But I also wanted a HEA for Josh, who I have to say I'm a little in love with, and Jenna who I liked a little more in this book but that's because I know more about her past now. I still think she needs to accept her relationship with Josh as a permanent one but then that's just me.

Secondly, it had to keep going at the same exciting pace as book 1 which it certainly does. Jaxs and Erica are now in love but still not achieving their HEA. Josh and Jenna are both so in love but you have to remember how damaged they are. We find out more about why they are the way they are but Jenna is still fighting hard.

In this book the bad guys just don't stop coming and you just have to keep listening to see what the outcome will be. The action is very well written and the author paints a vivid picture of the world they are all inhabiting. The sex scenes are hot but not graphic so nobody should be offended by them.

I really am enjoying this gripping tale and want to listen to book three now to find out the ending. Will or two couples get their HEA, will the building get built? Will Lewis and the bad guys get what's coming to them? So many unanswered questions.....

Whilst writing this review I have to say how wonderfully well it is narrated by Samara Naeymi she brings it beautifully to life.
