Publisher's summary

Lynx

It was one night,

A night of pure passion and desire,

A night I will never forget.

But she walked out,

And I never stopped thinking about her.

And now, she's back

Within reach.

And again, she’s off-limits,

Belongs to someone else,

One of my men.

Teaming up with her to take down those who threaten our freedoms

Seems like a perfect way to get close to her,

But there’s more at stake than ever before.

Emerson

I never forgot him.

He was - is - everything.

But the timing was off;

I had more happening in my life than I could handle.

And now, with him right there,

I can feel how much I’ve missed:

His touch, his scent, his taste.

Except, there's more on the line

Than a love affair.

We have to keep it professional.

But can I do that when

I need so much more from this undercover agent?

Emme and Links

Story was okay. But as much as I love Sebastian York he was not the right person for the job. Felicity Monroe did a much better job as Links. Her Emme voice at times was so annoying I wanted to stop listening. Overall it was okay.
I was happy to get some update for familiar characters.

A James Bond Type Romance

I loved this. I read the book first, loved the journey, and it's so cool to then listen, building even more anticipation bc I knew what was coming. Listening to it was awesome.
Emme or Emerson was vividly brought to life in the audio, so true to the character in my mind. I did question Lennox's hearing lol when he was remembering their night together, and the soft lilting? voice.
Lynx or Lennox was great, a bit slower in speaking so had to speed it up during his chapters--no worries. He even sounded like a stuffy ol Brit, which may not be the case nowadays, but I do wonder if the narrator always sounds a tiny bit nasally. Great inflection and pauses kept me in the story.
A lot of mystery and suspense, tho Lynx's cover was over before it even started lol, bc he KNEW Emerson (literally) under the covers, a play on words, maybe? Anyone who loves James Bond will love this, with the Military Intelligence of Her Majesty (MI6), the CIA and the Invincibles.

Sebastian English accent not your best

Sebastian York is one of if not my favorite narrator I look for books he does so I was excited for his series he was doing this book. His British accent is the worst could not finish book and the book for me was kinda hard to follow. The female narrator has a good English accent so I gave 2 stars. Sorry Sebastian you are the best love your voice.

Better Accent

I absolutely LOVE Sebastian York as a narrator. However, his not so great British accent on this one was a bit distracting. Other than that, I adored everything else about the book.

Another take on MI6

I downloaded this book because of Sebastian York, and once again I was not disappointed. As always, he did a great job. And kudos to Felicity Munroe.

But most importantly, I discovered Heather Slade, thanks to Sebastian Yok. Heather's lighthearted take on MI6 is actually quite refreshing. I read/listen enough on the high octane spy stories/books. A rom-com and laid back take is just right for me to relax. Don't get me wrong, there was intrigue, just not the Jack Ryan kind. :-)

A fun listen!

The story was good and I like the characters. I’m hoping some of the other agents will get their own story.

I love Sebastian York but I’m not too crazy with his British accent. Other than that, his performance was awesome as usual.

Felicity Munroe did a good job. Her performance really convey the quirkiness of Emerson’s personality.

Also, I like the tie-in to British Bedmate. It was fun visiting with my favorite characters.

Loved but some facts need to be checked.

Loved it. I consider myself a classic movies buff and was upset at incorrect facts.
