FANTASTIC LISTEN!

I absolutely adored Vander and Liora’s story! While J. Saman’s worlds are predominantly full of healthcare workers, this one is a little outside that realm and I loved that. While Liora is in school and doing clinicals at the hospital, the main focus isn’t that fact.

Back when they were in their mid to late teens, Liora and Vander were in the absolute kind of love that we all aspire to. And then things happen and they don’t see one another again.

Here we are a decade later, Liora is a single mom whose life has been completely destroyed by her ex and she is doing anything and everything she can to provide the best life for her daughter. And when Vander sees this happening, of course he steps in to take care of her. The girl, now woman, who he has never stopped loving.

Their love story is epic and I loved the journey we are taken on with them! Vander is such a complex character – he is broody and secretive, but the way my heart melted in the scenes with him with Liora’s daughter. He loves with his whole heart, even when he doesn’t realize that he is doing it.

Connor Crais and Stella Hunter were the perfect duo in this dual narrated audiobook! Connor was the perfect mix of brooding grump and sweet man, but only for her! And Stella was fantastic with Liora’s strong willed, determined mindset, but also during the times that she let herself feel safe with Vander.

This book hooked me from the first chapter. It was my first J Saman book and I devoured it! The character development and packing was fantastic, and kept me turning pages desperate to find out how this is going to unfold. The spice and tension was perfection and fit the narrative and character development perfectly.

Stella's warm, sensual tone was perfect for Liora. She is excellent at playing FMCs that you root for and this was no exception. Connor portrayed Vander with the perfect amount of grumpiness and sweetness. His deep rumble is sensual yet protective and reels you in.

I highly recommend this if you love single moms, second chances, kinky spice, and a bit of suspense in your romance!

Vander is perfection!

Vander Moore just shot straight to the top of my book boyfriend list! He’s protective, broody, spicy, and somehow still the most thoughtful man. And the way he was with Loira and Hazel completely melted me.

This is book seven in the Boston’s Irresistible Billionaire series, and it gave me everything I was hoping for. I loved the cameos from the Fritz family and all the moments with their close knit group. This book had the perfect mix of steam, tension, and suspense. I couldn’t stop reading, I finished in less than a day!

Vander is a brilliant hacker and Loira is his high school sweetheart, now caught up in danger from her past. He’s steady and fiercely protective, while she’s strong, determined, and willing to do anything for her daughter. Their banter was top noch, their chemistry was off the charts, and the way they fit together was impossible not to root for!

The audiobook narration was done so well! Connor Crais captured Vander’s intensity with his deep raspy tone and Stella Hunter embodied Loira beautifully. They made the story feel so alive.

J. Saman has such a gift for writing stories that blend family, found family, and romance in a way that feels real and lasting. I always fall headfirst into her books, and this one was no exception, I loved every second! Cannot wait to see what Julie brings us next!

Loved it

I will start this with saying I am relatively new to audiobooks. With that being said, Connor and Stella did an amazing job bringing this book to life. I have already read the book and then did a re-read on audible as hearing it come to life just adds a special dimension to the story. The emotions that the narrators are able to bring add a layer that can get missed when reading. Connor's voice is perfect for the dirty mouth that is Vander. The story is another amazing example of the talent of J Saman. The way she is able to bring these two characters back together and the way they both help each other heal from a shared tragedy is just incredible. Bad boy Vander isn't just the CEO of Monroe Securites but a super hacker by night. He is loyal and protective of the small inner circle of people that he holds closest. He has shown that he will go to any extreme needed to protect those in other books within this series. Liora is part of that inner circle the moment she re-enters Vanders life. Liora will not make Vander's life easy with her sass and the way she pushes back at his bossiness. When past secrets and betrayals are brought to light, Vander will do everything in his power to bring all those responsible into the light and will turn their world's upside down. Much like his father, Lennox, Vander's story is the perfect culmination of these books and perfect for the end of this series.

Enjoyed this dual style narration

I have loved this whole series and listened to the audio for much of it. This was no exception.

Vander and Liora have a history but in the present, it's very much a love/hate relationship. I really enjoyed both characters. Even during the 'dislike' stage, they very much cared about the other. The spice is very spicy and the way Vander steps in to take care of Liora and her daughter was so swoony.

Connor Crais and Stella Hunter did a great job with the audio. It is dual style which I know some don't like but I don't mind it at all. Both of these two do a good job with all voices and didn't take me out of the story at all. There are a lot of characters to portray, including young Hazel, and both Connor and Stella varied everyone enough to make me feel a part of each scene.

I had waited on pins and needles for Vander’s book, since his Daddy is still one of my all time favorite MMC’s, I just KNEW he was going to deliver. When I tell you, HE GET IT FROM HIS DADDY!!! Because YALL! Vander DE-LIVERS. Connor Crais was absolute PERFECTION and I genuinely could not think of a better narrator for Vander. I also may or may not have a major girl crush on Liora courtesy of Stella Hunter. The audio was out of this world good and second chance romance gets me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. When we found out that our FMC was a girl from Vander’s past I was immediately all in and couldn’t wait to watch this unfold. My intensely broody blondie had his hands FULL with Liora, in all aspects of the word and it was delicious as all get out. I absolutely LOVED the suspense aspect of this story, I thought it was exactly what this book needed to really bring out the depth of Vander’s previously closed off character. I legit could not have swooned harder at the way he was with Hazel. It was both surprising and not at the same time and I loved him so much for it. Unapologetically obsessed with Liora, Vander isn’t afraid to take matters into his own hands and I was SO HERE FOR IT. We love a protective man. And did I mention he wears glasses and is a hacker? GIVE ME ALL OF THE COMPUTER NERDS! 😮‍💨😮‍💨

I am so devastated to see this gen come to an end….but if there’s one thing I know Julie will give us, is even more from the next generation to come. 5/5 stars.

Super spicy

I never thought I would say there was too much sex, but a little more plot might help the story out a bit. I also never thought that I would complain that there wasn’t enough angst… but here we are.
He goes from not ever wanting anybody to be stuck with her as his assistant to apropos of nothing going down on her in the garage. I need a little more reasons for that to happen.
Overall redeemable story with a little intrigue. An epilogue that was a little bit farther out and could’ve tied up. Some of the loose ends would have been appreciated.

This story is full of angst and heartache, but it is all so worth it in the end. It's the perfect autumn listen—just be warned, the heat coming off this audiobook is enough to keep you toasty without a blanket or fireplace!

Enjoyed it

Enjoyed this latest book in the series. Actors were terrific, just disappointed it wasn’t done in duet. Also, the epilogue was not really an epilogue, just a final sex scene.

Love Connor Crais

Narrated by Stella Hunter and Connor Crais - awesome narrating from these two. Connor swoon amd sexy AH voice is can listen to any day and melt because Holy Smokes. Vander and Liora past loves who have not seen each other in a decade. Vander is not looking his best when he sees her for the first time in years and she does not recognize him. Now he finds himself helping her but she is stubborn amd also hiding things. This morally gray hacker and sexy CEO makes her feel things she wish she didn't. But their attraction and chemistry is HOT AH. But there is more to this story that keeps it so much more interesting. Not to mention we get past characters from previous books. I absolutely loved the ebook and audio version combo because it made this experience high level. Fantastic job by Julie and the narrators.
