Not what I expected, this is raw and realistic.

Many will shy away from this series because of its' nature. The scenes of actual rape (not ones where the girl pretends to tell herself that she doesn't want it and ends up screaming in happiness by the end, actual rape), the horrifying acts that Lily endures, the monster Jeremy shows himself to be... it's more real than most romance books I read. That said, I don't even know if it's proper to call this romance. While I am rooting for Lily and absolutely love how strong this woman is to endure through it all, I feel the same as Lily by feeling as if this man would redeem himself. But I don't know if he can at this point. I can't see myself liking him and instead of hoping for a lovely romantic ending, instead I want to see Lily crush him. Beware if you haven't read this book that if you're looking for romance, turn back now. This story is definitely not for the weak of heart; this story is realistic in more ways than I've seen in the books I've read. And I don't know how to feel about this in some ways because a small piece of me wanted him to change and be a good man, but he has crossed those lines we write in the sand as women for what is acceptable in normal society. Consent? What's that? Don't expect much at all of that. The narration was excellent although a few words had odd pronunciation but I don't really care, the narrator wove a beautiful tale of Lily's life and I can't wait to see how this series concludes. Oh and I must say I thought it odd that there are 8 books and each is so short; why not just make a few large ones instead? The cynic in me wants to say it's for money but I hate to think that way so I hope there's other reasoning for that. Either way, getting these three in one is definitely worth the credit if you don't have the Romance Package. Now, onto the next one!

Not for the faint of heart.

This series is a very black-type romance story. I have read the entire series and enjoyed the authors' way of presenting this series. I am now listening to this series through audible and with audible escape and find with these chosen narrators inflection and voices that the depth of enjoyment has greatly increased. Scarlett, I find the new book covers very exciting and they heighten the imagination of the audible experience for me. Speaking of audible I was wondering if you have ever listened to "January Lavoy?"
I recently purchased an audible book with her narrating and she just blew me away. I was so impressed that I googled her and found other books she had narrated and purchased 2 more. This voice and what she can do to hold your undivided attention and enchant you are amazing. I knew that a narrator can make or break a story but I didn't realize that a good narrator can absolutely have you completely hooked so that you just sit and listen and you aren't able to multi-task and wander off to do other things. I don't know how it is that you choose your narrators but I humbly suggest you at least give this one a listen to.

This is so crazy - in the best way!

I don't know where this series is going but I know I can't wait for the ride to be fully revealed to me. Stoneheart so aptly named is one complex character and Lily is a ping pong of emotions under his thumb. Let's see who wins the game in end!

Not what I expected

When I first started listening to this book I would have given it 3.5 stars, by the end of book three 4.5 stars but now that I've listened to book 5 I realize that this is actually really good. I'm not sure I'd call it romance, its more of a psychological thriller. Even though there's sex and acting like there's love its really more about Lilly trying to stay sane while playing Jeremy's sick mind games. By the end of book 5 you start to see some real love but not what i would consider romance. Its kind of sick and twisted but I'm enjoying the series. I'm giving it 5 stars

Steamy....Hot ...Erotic

This book keeps you yearning for more. The chemistry between these two is electric and dark.

Omg the whole series was definitely a emotional roller coaster it had me anger, sad, happy, and very frustrated but with all those feelings I still would recommend this book to anyone, it was very very good and grabbed me from the beginning and it didn't leave no cliffhangers when it ended

Oh boy, not for the faint of heart.

This is quite an interesting story, not your typical 'billionaire meets girl.' Lily is a smart and strong woman who seemingly gets kidnapped for no reason and forced to sign a 'contract' that says she has to do whatever Jeremy wants. It has a nice amount of erotica, suspense, and mystery. The narrator is good and makes the story even better.
If you like suspense mixed with erotica/mind games and have the ability to realize that this is fiction you'll probably enjoy this story. ^__^
