In this fantasic Bio, we see the human experiences of rising and falling, of giving cruelty and suffering the same, of forgiving and being forgiven, and finally of redemption. It teaches a history this none of us should ever forget, and it could hardly be written better, nor performed better.

Amazing Story of Human Resilience

I was absorbed in this story from beginning to end. Laura Hillenbrand is a great writer who painted an almost unbelievable story of pain, suffering, and degradation in a Japanese war camp. Yet the story is one of redemption and healing. I highly recommend listening to this inspiring story set in a historical era we can't afford to forget.

Best book I have read in years!!!

Such a fantastic and inspiring story of survival. I learned so much about the history of WWII and of the time period in general. The narrator had a calm and soothing voice which really helped to be able to get through some graphic and painful material. Reading this book has enriched my life. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to understand this topic better.
