Pretty good, except for the whisper

The story was pretty darn good, had some action, some weirdness, overall a good story. The narrator whispering was annoying as heck!

Good story

I found this story very enjoyable, despite a few forceful and more than a few grotesque scenes/events

No more whispering

Please no more whispering it is very distracting. The story was good, performance not much

Anger-provoking

No book in the entire series has made me as angry as this one. The events of the so called King and Queen; and that’s all I have to say about that. Narrator did a marvelous job with characters. Would make a great movie to elicit such strong emotions.

Uneventful

Worst and weakest storyline yet.. sad. I’m returning this book. 1st one so far . So sad.

Fantastic!!!

Varin and Brynn have been through so much together and his past has been hidden from him. Once he gained is memory, he has forgotten everything else about his time as a slave and his time with her. It’s all so much, heartbreaking and painful, but it all keeps the pages turning. I love the kindred but I believe this is a new favorite.

NO NO NO!!! Horrified, BEWARE, gore scenes!

I usually enjoy Evangeline’s books but this story absolutely sickened me. Beware that their is gore and disgusting details of death. I don’t understand why The author went down this path but I was so disturbed and upset with this book. Theirs over 6 hours left and I don’t know if I can continue. I feel like I’m listening to a book for the Aliens series, not a romance novel for outer space at this point. This will probably be the first book in this series I will be returning and I have all her audio books.

Just be aware some serious violations dealing with deflowering, insect force pregnancy with very graphic gory birth that kills a woman.

Hints of romance and theirs only been one semi sexual scene in this book.

Insect violation

The story wasn’t but the insect violation was a bit much for me. Hoping the next book has a bit more romance and a lot less bug.

I hate the gross bugs

This was like a horror lots of awful things not at all to my liking but I'm hooked on the series
