Not only is this Ulzana’s story, it’s also the story of the Cho-ken-en (Chiricahua Apaches), their eventual surrender to the US Army and the Shis-Inday (Apache) betrayal by the American government.
Here are all the heroes and villains as they lived, bled, and died. After listening to Ulzana’s story, you’ll appreciate these remarkable people in a new and authentic light. Sometimes, just at sunset, if you walk through the deserts and mountains of Arizona and New Mexico, you may still hear the sounds of their laughter and their weeping carried on the winds sweeping down from the heights. The mountains remember their dignity.
