Publisher's summary

An evil genius threatens Christmas.

His name is Twinkles. Furry and full of himself, Twinkles the cat takes self-interest to a new level. Not a huge problem...until he disappears, turns himself into a human, and maybe kills a few of Santa’s reindeer.

Star and Ben never dreamed that cat-sitting could be this difficult. But things only get worse as more (reindeer) bodies start piling up. Using his newly discovered opposable thumbs, Twinkles phones his pet-sitters. His claim? He’s innocent. He’ll do anything if Ben and Star will clear his name and save Christmas, even (shudder) cuddle.

Join Star and Ben as they return Twinkles to his former fluffy body and find the real murderer in this humorous holiday tale of magical intrigue.

Favorite in the Series!

This was a laugh out loud adventure following our favorite trio Star, Ben, and Alex tracking down a now human and just as brazen Twinkles, the cat familiar of Star's mentor Camille. Pet sitting has never been a greater chore as the team has to discover who took out some of Santa's reindeer and figure out if Twinkles is to blame. The characters that have become so familiar and enjoyable do not disappoint in this fun story that zig zags through all different magic, holidays, and possibilities. I really actually adore the community and relationships that Cate has managed to create between Star, Ben, and Alex along with the other members of this universe. I really feel like even in the short series the audience has gotten to see Star grow and develop as a character and magic user. I find it funny that the whole her being 'goth' pretty much completely dropped off after the first volume. I really hope that there will be future volumes in this series as it truly has been a delight to listen to. This volume is sure to have you smiling for a ton of different reasons. And I will say if this was a finale in the series although I think there is tons more that could have been explored and developed, this is still a great note to end on.
