Professor Aronnax, a French naturalist, begins an extremely hazardous voyage to pursue a little-known and terrifying sea monster. However, the ‘monster’ turns out to be a giant submarine, the Nautilus, which is commanded by the enigmatic Captain Nemo.

Contrary to several reviews that complain of excessive omittable detail and cataloging, I found every passage to be both relevant and exciting. Truly a modern epic!

This is a great story that I could listen to multiple times and still enjoy. Anyone who hasn't had a chance to read or listen to this book is missing out on one of the greats. An awesome story with one of the best characters ever. Also, Andrew Wincott is by far the best narrator that I've heard.What was one of the most memorable moments of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea?
