Fluff and Spice

This book was perfect for getting me out of an anxiety induced reading slump. The plot was simple yet entertaining, with great dual narrated dialogue (Brittany Pressley and Teddy Hamilton do an amazing job). This has open-door spice. 🌶🌶🌶.

Felt like a realistic and healthy relationship

Characters - lovable
Audio book - Enjoyable and I usually hate audiobooks.
Heads up - it is very spicy, all consensual

Jester has excellent taste

Somehow I am not surprised the something that started as a game idea in Laura Bailey’s brain is sooo good. It is a spicy smut book as the campaign indicated, but being a critical role idea, it’s healthier than most as the relationship grows. I throughly enjoyed it to the point that I lost some sleep because I couldn’t stop listening.

I love the choice of narrators, particularly Teddy Hamilton. The story is wonderful and stands alone in the critical role world with no prior knowledge of the livestream game. That being said, as an avid fan of the livestream, particularly campaign two, there were definitely some Easter eggs for the fans.

wonderful, magical!

this was one of the best magical romances I've ever heard. the characters are fully realized, the dialogue comfortable and realistic, and unlike many of the older romances, the female character is innocent but not stupid. she has agency (as soon as she leaves her parents) and powers of her own. the romance and sex is well written with neither crude detail or flowery hyperbole. I will look for other books by this author when I finish writing this.

A relaxing read with great narration

As a fan of Critical Role (and knowing what this book is based off of) I expected this story to be very cheesy, poorly written, and just for laughs. Instead, I found myself thoroughly immersed in the story and the characters. It was decently written and the acting was very entertaining!

Literally perfect.

Campy in the best way, literal bodice ripper. What a super super fun time this was. And the narration was superb. Highly recommend!!!
