Another good one in the series
This one picks up right after the first book “Sentiment to the Heart” and is just as good. It is short but packed with crime and mystery. The narrator does another great job as well. She speaks clearly and it’s easy to identify who is talking in the moment.

Good story
I really enjoyed the story but the dialogue felt very stilted. The conversations felt very formal and not natural for conversation. Aside from that I really like the story and am continuing this series. The story is short so things move quickly without as much detail or explanation as I might like but the main characters are likable it is an enjoyable read and I still want to finish the series.

What did the criminals want with Iris? Another adventurous short story that is interesting! This is the skinny version of what could be a great story. The characters are underdeveloped and plot development is thin. The love scene left something to be desired. The British/South African accent was not good. The story is good, but it could be meatier.

Enjoyable and fun journey
I really enjoyed this one - a short one in at under 2 hours but a very enjoyable story that continues to unfold, some good character building and very little in the way of filler. Everything appears to be written with a purpose.
The narration was engaging and fun too. Kris was very good at giving each character their own voice (and accents) and she made it an entertaining and fun listen!

A detective that keeps you asking for more
arker and Kay are in a relationship and Kay started working for the detective agency as well.
Parker and Kay receive a request to find a lost watch. They soon find out that this watch isn't just a watch but a device to unlock secured safes. Parker and Kay travel to together with Iris to Nelspruit to fund the watch. Once they are there they find themself in conflict with a criminal group. The (dead) leader of the criminals looks exactly like Iris and the criminals abduct Iris to be a standin.
Parker and Kay are not only looking for the watch but have to rescue Iris from the criminals.
This story is really well written and has a lot of twist and turns. It keeps you excited until the end and wonder if there are more books in the Avery Detective Series. And yay there is a book 3.
