Publisher's summary

A new, emotionally riveting, sexy standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster. Watch mysteriously sexy Bear Whiskey claw his way to his happily-ever-after with sassy, rebellious Crystal Moon.

Eight months is a long damn time to have the hots for a woman who keeps a guy at arm's length. But Crystal Moon is no ordinary woman. She's a sinfully sexy, sass-mouthed badass, and the subject of Bear Whiskey's midnight fantasies. She's also one of his closest friends.

Just when Crystal thinks she has her life under control, scorching-hot, possessive, aggressive, and fiercely loyal Bear pushes all her sexual buttons, relentless in his pursuit to make her his.

The more Bear pushes, the hotter their passion burns, unearthing memories for Crystal that are best kept buried. But there's no stopping the collision of her past and present, catapulting the two lovers down an emotional and sexually charged road that has them questioning all they thought they knew.

I truly love this series.

I truly love this series. Foster breaks through the stereotype of what a hero should be and takes on who they are. The Whiskeys seem to be the anti heroes, but their hearts won't let them not lend a hand to a person that needs it. Crystal and Bear are broken people. Neither knows where their attraction is headed, but when their emotions are tested refuse to give up the fight. Through the words of Foster, narration of Woods on and the depth of the characters, the fierce spirit of a champion takes shape. Truly, Madly, Whiskey proves a heartbreaker can be a hero in disguise. It roots for the underdog and I love that most of all.

Edit to my original 2017 review*
I just listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Paul Woodson. Omg it is better then I remembered. I absolutely love audio books and Melissa has the best narrators reading her books.
I do not normally read stories about any type of abuse. However knowing the author Melissa is I knew she would with a beautiful story. I must say she did not disappoint me. Bear is an understanding, patient and kind hearted touch guy with a huge heart. Definitely a must read with a HEA with no cliffhangers.

Smooth Whiskey and Hawt!

Crystal had issues in her life. She dressed like a biker chick, but never had ridden one. Bear was a biker and helped his family in their auto shop and bar. They had a real connection. She finally confined in him her fears because she trusted him. She was surprised when he had hugged her with tenderness when her own mother had only spat venom at her. It broke the walls down around her heart and gave her piece. This was well written and Paul Woodson did all the characters with perfection narrating this one.

I need a Bear in my life

Audiobook Review…I have to start this with Holy Cow, Paul Woodson is amazing. He has the Whiskey voice and portrays Bear perfectly. Paul makes Bear sweet, understanding, loving, sexy, alpha and so very protective of those who are important to him. Paul Woodson takes Melissa Foster’s story and brings it to life. The characters, all of them, are voiced with emotions and reactions that pulled me right into the story.

eBook Review…Bearded, tattooed, biker Bear is not my style, usually. Bear in Truly, Madly, Whiskey is entirely my style. This is a good reminder to not judge a person by their looks because looks can be deceiving. Bear is a tough, alpha male but he has the absolute biggest heart EVER! When it is decided that you are important to him there is nothing you can do to stop him from taking care of you, loving you, and protecting you.

Melissa Foster takes her readers on a rollercoaster of emotions with Bear and Crystal. Crystal can deny her feelings all she wants but there is no doubt to anyone else that these two belong together and nothing will keep them apart. Crystal has a ton of issues to work through but Bear has no fear that nothing that she is dealing with can turn him off of her. Bear has a few things happening in his life also. He has to decide what his future will hold and how he will get to where he wants to be in his career.

There are so many other amazing characters that I am anxious to know more about. Bones, Bullet, and Dixie are all siblings of Bear that I am sure will have their own stories to tell. I am excited for this set of characters to continue.

Truly Sweet & Flirty

A sweet and flirty romance between two creative and genuinely nice people. This is marketed as a stand alone book but it incorporates characters from a previous book. I actually liked it more because I prefer series. These characters -family and friends- are a dynamic cast, and create a warm background for a beautiful love story.

Truly, Madly, Love this book!

I am a biker chick and I do love a strong  tatooed biker man like Bear.  He is very protective of family and those he loves.  He sticks up for those that get pushed aside and fights for whats right.

Bear has been after Crystal for 8 months.  He texts her 1 word constantly "Bear".  He says he does not want her to forget him.  His persistence finally pays off when Crystal agrees to go out with him and walls come down.  Bear may be a big bad biker but he has a soft side and Crystal knows how to get him to show his soft side.

When I was listening to this I could really hear the emotions in the story. Paul Woodson did a great job narrating and making the story come to life. He has a great voice that sounds just like a tough biker with a soft side that you know all the Whiskey's have.

If you like bikers and Sons of Anarchy you will love Truly Madly Whiskey.  🐻

Paul brings Bear to life in a grand way. . .

Let's just keep this one out in the open. I very much enjoyed this one when I read it. I fell a little bit more in love with Paul's narration skills. . . .

I wanted to know/hear Bear's story. I wanted to know more about him and where he would go with love. And then there was Crystal. Seeing then together and wondering if it was truly something there or just an illusion written in to misled. The banter between Crystal and Bear was my favorite. Their interactions just felt real. Audio allowed for me to visualize the characters, the play, the setting a bit clearer then reading did.

There were all the things that allowed me to fall in love from the book now done with narration that was really good. Paul's voice allowed for you to feel things in the various scenes that intensified the experience of this listen. The chemistry was there. Bear was the tatted, sexy, muscular male that was just wanting to be wrapped up with that one special woman, even if he really didn’t think so. Crystal well she was a woman on a mission to rise above what she was born to and raise around. There was a lot between then and a lot behind them. Coming to terms with things was what was needed. Life decisions were needed to be made. Watching as they come to this realization and doing it together was beautiful.

I highly recommend reading/listening to Tru Blue first. Fall in love slowly over the course of a few book with both the characters and the narrator.

I want a big bad biker Bear!

Bear Whiskey works at his family’s bar as well as runs a bike shop. Crystal works with her friend Gemma running a costume party store. We met them in Tru & Gemma’s story. Bear has been chasing after Crystal for 8mos but she has friend zoned him...Crystal is finally ready to let Bear in. Turns out that she has a dark past. Follow Bear and Crystal as they work through fears and anger. Will they make it as a couple or will the past hold them back? Great story...loved Bear...he was gentle and protective.
We caught up with Tru, Gemma and the kids at their wedding. Good feels :))

Loving the Whiskey!

This series is becoming one of my favorites. I think because of the low angst, the high love and the men to die for all make this series so easy to love and fall into. This part of the series gives us Bear's story. We met Bear and Crystal in the first book. Bear is close to Truman, helping him with his new siblings, and Crystal works with Gemma. There is definitely some chemistry, but now we get to the grit of this relationship. Bear is nothing short of a saint. He is patient and loving, and can feel that there is something that holds Crystal back from letting her heart fall. Melissa Foster has crafted a story of reinvention, putting the past to bed and finding your new normal, learning to trust and love and enjoy the people who are there for you and care for you. I loved this story, fell for Bear and really enjoyed their slow burn.

Paul Woodson continues his wonderful narration of the story. I am loving him performances, full of that alpha feel, shining light into the story. He gives each character such distinct voices, easy to determine who is talking and gives us that feeling of comforting familiarity. I enjoyed his portrayal of Bear and Crystal!
