Publisher's Summary

A new, emotionally riveting, sexy standalone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster. Watch mysteriously sexy Bear Whiskey claw his way to his happily-ever-after with sassy, rebellious Crystal Moon.

Eight months is a long damn time to have the hots for a woman who keeps a guy at arm's length. But Crystal Moon is no ordinary woman. She's a sinfully sexy, sass-mouthed badass, and the subject of Bear Whiskey's midnight fantasies. She's also one of his closest friends.

Just when Crystal thinks she has her life under control, scorching-hot, possessive, aggressive, and fiercely loyal Bear pushes all her sexual buttons, relentless in his pursuit to make her his.

The more Bear pushes, the hotter their passion burns, unearthing memories for Crystal that are best kept buried. But there's no stopping the collision of her past and present, catapulting the two lovers down an emotional and sexually charged road that has them questioning all they thought they knew.

3.5 STARS.. SACCHARIN SWEET, SEXY & DRAMA-LITE

This is an introduction into the Whiskey clan where all the men are part-time bikers and they are a tight loving and loyal family group who would defend each other to the hilt.. or die trying. I haven't listened to it but the 33 yr old sexy hero Bear is first introduced in the book Tru Blue where he first meets sassy 30 yr old Crystal and he's forever hooked. This book starts off 8 months later and Bear has been steadily trying to woo and wear Crystal down - but he doesn't yet realize that she has erected some very high walls to protect her and a bitter secret that has, understandably, changed her. She puts on a hardass front which hides her sensitive heart but very slowly Bear's caring, supportive, attentive, loyal and very tempting self allows Crystal to start opening up, to start trusting, to start feeling and to finally let her walls crumble.

Bear does this by one touch, one conversation, one look and one thoughtful step at a time and this saintly sexy hero deserves an award for his patience, his unwavering understanding and his devotion which truly was remarkable. Crystal took a long time before she'd finally let Bear touch her and, once she slowly allowed her bases to be touched, sexy times followed. Although this is very much a relationship driven story, strong family values and demands are also present.. as well as a broken family who still hold on to secrets.

I'll be honest, it took me a little while to warm to this storyline because it robbed me of the h/h's first meeting and their first feelings.. but I slowly got over it and, for the most part, I enjoyed it. BUT it was sweet enough to give you cavities and it dragged a bit because there was simply no drama.. no angst.. no heated words.. and no misunderstandings. As the chapters slowly bled into each other I thought ok this is all very touching but where's the rocky road.. the rollercoaster.. the bad guy..? no, then what about an argument.. a hiccup.. or even a swear word? - but alas none of the above. It had plenty of heart and heat which I loved and some emotional baggage too which was all good but, for me, it was missing a little bit of drama. This is standalone but I think that I personally would have preferred to listen to it after Tru Blue because of the h/h's first meeting - and because some of the other characters were first introduced in that book. Dual POV's and the narrator did a good job.

Worth a credit? Well that depends on what you're looking for.. I got it in the sale and enjoyed it - but I just didn't love it. However, I did love long-suffering Bear who went above and beyond any previous hero to make his lady happy.. and the lucky woman was very very happy in the end.

What a great book!

I really enjoyed this well written story. This was the second book by this author that I have read, and both were engaging enough that I look forward to many more. I stumbled upon the first of this series, True Blue by chance and truly decided to give it a shot because it also had the audio option. I am so glad I did! I can not wait for the rest of this Whiskey clan to get their stories told. The narrator really brings this character to life. Good job to both author and narrator!

WHISKEY PLEASE!!

I think I deserve a shot of whiskey for finishing this one!

I've been wanting to listen to Melissa Foster for some time now, and finally took a chance, but I have to be honest.... between the narration, and the story, I almost return this audio. Luckily, I made it to chapter six where the plot finally started getting interesting. It a was sweet story, and I really liked Bear's character; however, there really wasn't much that was exciting, interesting or engaging. I actually zoned out a few times. There was a back story on the heroine, and she had to live with the aftermath, but it wasn't delivered in away that gave it any intensity. This story may be perfect for someone who doesn't like a lot of angst or steamy romance, but for me, I like my stories to make me feel all types of emotion whether their happy, sad or angry.... I just didn't feel anything with this one. I gave the story three stars because I didn't dislike it.

Paul Woodson has a deep rich voice which made it a little hard for me to distinguish between the characters and the emotions. I tried adjusting the speed up and down, and finally settled for 1.25x the speed. It took a couple of hours, but I finally got used to his voice, and narration style.

For Melissa Foster's fans, this may be worth a credit, but I wouldn't recommend using a credit.... sale maybe.

Oh Bear, you're seriously SWOONY!!!

Seriously, where have I been? How did I not know that Melissa Foster has released the other books in this series? I’m just dying that I waited so long to read/listen to the Whiskey clan. Just a man that sits on a bike and loves his woman so whole-heartedly makes me swoon insanely hard! I love that Melissa Foster gives us a story that doesn’t need drama and/or fights. That isn’t to say there isn’t trouble in paradise… but it’s understandable. Bear is a perfect name for him… he’s adorably sweet and can steal your heart right from your chest. I’m smitten, completely smitten!! It is a slow delicious burn and I seriously recommend listening to the first book in the series before this one.

Paul Woodson did a good job narrating Truly, Madly, Whiskey. He narrates both a male and female POV and while it isn’t my preferred method, Woodson did a fabulous job. He really has this deep, delicious voice and I really didn’t mind having him purring in my ear!!

Truly Sweet & Flirty

A sweet and flirty romance between two creative and genuinely nice people. This is marketed as a stand alone book but it incorporates characters from a previous book. I actually liked it more because I prefer series. These characters -family and friends- are a dynamic cast, and create a warm background for a beautiful love story.

I review for the Guilty Indulgence Review Site.

Loving the Whiskey!

This series is becoming one of my favorites. I think because of the low angst, the high love and the men to die for all make this series so easy to love and fall into. This part of the series gives us Bear's story. We met Bear and Crystal in the first book. Bear is close to Truman, helping him with his new siblings, and Crystal works with Gemma. There is definitely some chemistry, but now we get to the grit of this relationship. Bear is nothing short of a saint. He is patient and loving, and can feel that there is something that holds Crystal back from letting her heart fall. Melissa Foster has crafted a story of reinvention, putting the past to bed and finding your new normal, learning to trust and love and enjoy the people who are there for you and care for you. I loved this story, fell for Bear and really enjoyed their slow burn.

Paul Woodson continues his wonderful narration of the story. I am loving him performances, full of that alpha feel, shining light into the story. He gives each character such distinct voices, easy to determine who is talking and gives us that feeling of comforting familiarity. I enjoyed his portrayal of Bear and Crystal!

Truly, Madly, Loved This Book!

Wow! What a great story about relationships and a girl, Crystal Moon who had been raped in college and as a defense mechanism acted like the tough girl with plenty of one night stands. Enter Bear Whiskey, hot, hot, hot! Who absolutely is crazy over Crystal and stops going out with other women. He only wants her and can’t figure out why she wants nothing to do with him.
This is a beautiful written story! I love the Whiskey Series. The men are all swoon worry!
I read the book but also listened to the audible and loved the narration by Paul Woodson! He did a fantastic job!

The first book I read was Tru Blue and I loved it. When I finished Truly, Madly, Whiskey I knew I was hooked and in for the long haul. These are books that you can't wait to hear what comes next and when the romance begins to develop you are right there falling in love with them. On to the next on for me...

Mad for Whiskey

It’s time for some Sunshine and Whiskey…

Bear aka Robert Whiskey comes off as a powerful alpha, but he has a heart of gold for the ones he loves. Bear had from the beginning knew that Crystal Moon was his; now all he had to do is convince the fiery tempered woman. Bear has some heavy decisions to make torn between family and his first love will he make the right decisions?

Crystal Moon is as tough as she wants others to see, but there is a part of her that will never forget her past , but she is determined to try. After her fathers death Crystal struck out on her own. The only bright days were when she was working with Gemma creating or with Bear, but she would never tell him that.

From the first time I met Bear and Crystal their chemistry floated off the pages what I didn’t expect was the rawness of their emotions, it ran deep and oh so powerful. There was not one moment I did not enjoy their witty and often funny banter. They cracked me up. Then as I have said there is the serious side too both characters, the heart of them if you will. Bear loves his family and Crystal deeply. He is battling within himself. Crystal struggles with the story of her past and dealing with her not so nice mother. Could she trust the people who matter the most to her with her secret? I on occasion find a song that matches a certain book. My song for Crystal is without a doubt, Lauren Daigle’s song You Say it captures the true meaning of what she is learning of what is inside her.

The supporting characters are from book #1 “Tru Blue” Tru, Jemma, the Whiskey’s and
Link, Kennedy (Tru’s siblings). All making a wonderful appearance. Added to them is Jed(Crystal’s brother) and Crystal’s Mom even though I took a dislike to her I know she is who drove Crystal to be a better person, nothing like her mom. The plot is penned by the amazing talents of Melissa Foster that we come to enjoy. When you think of romances with hot sexy alphas, with strong powerful heroines, with scenes that will scorch you as well as melt you from the inside out you will think of Melissa Foster’s book Truly, Madly, Whiskey.

The narration was engaging and the characters were distinct. I enjoyed Paul Woodson who quickly drew me into the book and made me feel as though I was one of the characters.

If you enjoy listening to audio books and want a fun, sexy read with an emotional pull, then pick up a copy of Truly, Madly, Whiskey, written by Melissa Foster and narrated by Paul Woodson. I am off to book #3 in the Whiskey Series.

It's getting hot in here......

I don't know if I can put into words how much this audiobook had an impact on me but I will definitely try.

The this audiobook was the best I have ever listened to, not just by this author but any author.

I finished this audiobook in one sitting, I literally could not stop listening and it wasn't just the story or the characters but it was also the incredible words that had me crying, laughing, scowling and then crying again. The emotions that were put into this audiobook were amazing.

Crystal has a horrific past and struggles to move past it which is why she is reluctant to start a relationship with Bear and when you read why you will completely understand and I can 100% say that I truly felt for her.

Bear is so patient, loving and when he finds out why she has waited so long to return his feelings when he knew she felt the same he completely understands. Bear literally lives up to his name in the sense that he will protect those he loves to the ends of the earth but underneath he is just a big teddy bear.

I have never listened to an audiobook that has literally had me wondering what emotion was coming from one part to the next and for me that truly shows the ability of an exceptional writer.

Definitely my favourite audiobook by this author and also my favourite romance audiobook ever!!

Bear rocks

I love this audio book so much. Paul narrates it beautifully and its definitely how I imagined Bear's voice. Melissa Foster is such an amazing writer and to hear it brought so amazingly to life is wonderful. Definitely recommend to anyone.
