Publisher's Summary

True Believer: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!

Part love story and part ghost story, this is an unforgettable New York Times best seller about a science journalist and a North Carolina librarian who dare to believe in the impossible.

As a science journalist with a regular column in Scientific American, Jeremy Marsh specializes in debunking the supernatural - until he falls in love with the granddaughter of the town psychic.

When Jeremy receives a letter from Boone Creek, North Carolina, about ghostly lights appearing in a cemetery, he can't resist driving down to investigate. Here, in this tightly knit community, Lexie Darnell runs the town's library. Disappointed by past relationships, she is sure of one thing: Her future is in Boone Creek, close to all the people she loves. From the moment Jeremy sets eyes on Lexie, he is intrigued. And Lexie, while hesitating to trust this outsider, finds herself thinking of him more than she cares to admit. Now, if they are to be together, Jeremy must do something he's never done before - take a giant leap of faith.

Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Distracting

I tired to get past the music to hear the story but it was so interruptive and distracting. Not for me, just couldn’t “listen” to the actual story with all the noise.

The music is distracting

The music is distracting and unnecessary. I had to stop listening. There should be a no music option. Wasted a credit. :(

Good book terrible recording !

This was the worst recording I’ve ever purchased. It had many glitches, skipped parts, repetitive and stuttering parts. It truly was not the usual audible quality!

A Reader's Comments

This is an amazing love story. It speaks to the fact that love can make us change our lives. I highly recommend this novel to fans of the author. While the stoey is written fine in the book version THE AUDIO VERSION HAS MAJOR PORTIONS OF THE STORY MISSING. THE AUDIO VERSION NEEDS TO BE REDONE.

audio issues

I found the story to be enchanting however, the audio has hiccups in different areas. I could hear the music in the back ground but the narrative would skip or sometimes be void altogether.

True Believer

The story line was great, however the background music sometimes overpowered the reading and unfortunately there were many places that skipped throughout the entire book

Not your usual Nicholas Sparks

This started out like no other story from sparks. I stuck with it and it ended just like Nicholas Sparks. Was a great story.

Truly romantic

I haven’t cried at a book in a long time. I did make this one. I totally love the author and have read probably 90% of his books. He is tremendous in my opinion. Thank you Nicholas Sparks
