Publisher's Summary

What happens to all of the letters that kids send to Santa Claus through the US mail? In Detroit, Michigan, many of them end up in the hands of Chris Archer, a postal worker who spends his free time designing computer games and uses the children’s wish lists to help detect trends in the toy market.

No harm done until Chris’ brother, Nick Archer, the religiously obsessed, dishonorably discharged fighter pilot and victim of childhood abuse, discovers them and finds out who’s really been naughty and who’s been nice. Possessed of a messiah complex, Nick turns into a charming and athletic serial killer leaving a trail of devastation in two cities, Detroit and Sarasota, connected only by the commercial route he now flies for Delta.

It takes a team of oddballs to bring Nick down. On the Detroit side, there are the co-ed partners and wise-cracking lovers, Jaq McSween and David Maxwell, accompanied by their dog, Recon. On the Sarasota side, there is the Argentinian with the taste for American hot dogs, Abel Mendoza, and his partner who goes simply by Rabbit on account of his ability to hide in a crowd, create his own burrow, and investigate unnoticed. There is the lovely nurse, Rita Rose, who has been damaged by a mendacious lover before and is now caught in Nick Archer’s web in more ways than one, and her fearless higher-up, the reserved yet incisive medical examiner, Dr. Towers.

Two teams of odd-ball detectives discover the truth, but can they outmaneuver Nick's obsessive, military-trained mind and stop him in time before he kills again and someone they love dies?

A Complex Thriller with Lots of Suspense

Triple Cross Killer is a rich, well-crafted thriller with plenty of suspense. I especially enjoyed the teams of characters. All the main characters are well-developed and real, but they each have enough quirkiness and unique qualities to make them interesting.

A major plus for me is the members of protagonist-side experience tension with each other, but deep-down they like and respect one another. They are loyal. Nick—the antagonist—is so real I want to kick him. He is handsome and charming and evil. A perfect package for a bad guy.

The story premise is interesting and complex enough, without being confusing. An all-round good read. Can’t wait for Book 2.

Stunning thriller mystery

I love reading about serial killers and Rosemarie Aquilina grabbed my attention from the very start and held me until the very end. I love how she involved everyone in looking for the triple cross killer and made it so real life. Absolutely great!

WOW!

My name is Kate Romero and I am reviewing this audiobook from my husband's account. I am a huge fan pf Rosemarie Aquilina in general. That said; I treated myself to her audio-book Triple Cross Killer to listen to while I get my steps in every day for my fit bit. The imaginative and incredibly believable story line, the characters, the tension, the visuals, the knowing messages I felt from my own past kept me so engaged I don't know if I was breathing at some points. As I walked and listened in my neighborhood and at my gym, I found myself gasping, shrieking, and laughing because I was so involved that I forgot where I was and what I was doing. I want this book to be a TV Series. Netflix, HBO, Showtime...somewhere! The character Rita Rose and her lover Nick Archer ran the gamete of every toxic relationship I've ever been in. So delicious and intense in the beginning with all of the same kinds of twists and turns. I happen to be married to the world's best husband now, and thanks to this compelling and well written book, if I were to ever (God forbid) date again, I would see the red flags in a narcissist or psychopath like a fireworks show and look for the nearest exit to get away from them. I am so very sad that I have finished this book. The one thing I can do while I wait for the next one is to listen to it all over again. YUM! WHAT A STORY!

Great Book!

I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job developing characters who were interesting and engaging, and the story was completely original. I have already recommended Triple Cross Killer to friends who listen to audiobooks and regular books alike. I am looking forward to reading or hopefully listening to others in the series.

One additional note: I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and early on I had a hard time with this narrator. It was as if the dialogue was being spoken at a slower speed than the rest of the story. It was a little distracting. As the book went on either it improved or I got used to it, because by the end, I was so drawn in to the story it no longer mattered to me.

Triple cross killer

The characters were very well developed and you find yourself attached to them You hope that none of them will get hurt by the murderer himself. I don’t have a favorite character as I liked them all the same except from the killer

The characters will live on

I loved how I got to know the characters enough to want to follow them into the next chapter of their lives. A good story about life interlacing the good and bad human behavior.

Edge of seat action and suspense had me wanting to listen to just one more chapter . The description of each crime was in amazing detail like you were sat watching it happen. Can’t recommend this book eagerly enough looking forward to book 2 .

I cannot recommend this book enough

Wow I dont know where to begin and how to put my thoughts about this book into text. I felt that I was thrown into the action right from the start and little was I to know that I would be on s rollercoaster ride for the duration of the novel. I felt completely immersed in the storyline. The author described each crime scene with such preciseness that I could imagine the scene being portrayed to me. The character development was on point . It is a real page Turner and in my opinion not to be missed. I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review
