“Alentejo prometido” é um road movie familiar. O autor conta-nos uma história do Alentejo através de histórias familiares e memórias pessoais. O cenário é a região do Alentejo Litoral, sobretudo o concelho de Santiago de Cacém. Entre cidades e aldeias, o road movie vai descobrindo segredos familiares enquanto tenta lançar uma nova e implacável luz sobre uma região que se afoga há décadas em lugares-comuns. A ligar todos os quilómetros desta viagem, encontramos três temas: as mulheres, o suicídio e o complexo do desenraizado. O autor é filho de alentejanos que migraram para a Grande Lisboa nos anos 60 e sempre assumiu que encontraria a sua identidade perdida numa viagem deste estilo pelo Alentejo.
