Closure is important

...and it is good to see Mitzy find peace.

This 9th book in the series takes Mitzy and Erick back to Mitzy’s old stomping grounds in Arizona. As a Midwesterner that has been transplanted to the southeastern United States, I can imagine the climate shock that Erick experienced – coming from Almost Canada. With a cold case to solve and only a week to do it things move along very quickly. I was happy to see Mitzy’s Magic – excuse me – Transmutation Mentor Cyrus play a larger role in this adventure. I really appreciate that each character is having a chance at being closer to center stage as the series develops.

Coleen Marlo is an excellent narrator, giving each character not only a voice but one that expresses the personality the author has assigned.

Tracks and Flashbacks is a fantastic Mystery !

Tracks & Flashbacks is Book 9 in the Mitzy Moon series and I have to say I think the best so far!
I do love this series, and this one was quite the ride!

Mitzy and Sheriff Harper take a trip to Arizona to try and solve a cold case, not just any cold case though. The case of her mother's death that may or may not have been a homicide.

I love Mitzy's character, and she has really grown over the last several books. This was an emotional read, but also so well written with laughter along the way. I think it's safe to say we learn why Mitzy is the way Mitzy is and our past truly does impact who we become as an adult.

I was excited as always to see her romantic relationship and how it has progressed with Erick.
Though not physically on the trip it was so fantastic to see Silas , Ghost-Ma and the amazing Pyewacket get involved. That was brilliant on the author's part to let them be part of the story because those are some fantastic secondary characters and I definitely would of missed them if they weren't involved.

The mystery was multi-layered, complex and well personal to Mitzy which added an additional complexity.

This is a great book and series that I highly recomend .

Case Near and Dear to Mitzy

My favorite in the series so far. Mitzy and Sheriff Harper are on a road trip back to Mitzy’s past. The two are headed back to Arizona to investigate the cold case of Mitzy’s mom. Although Mitzy is leaving her Ghost-ma and Pyewacket back in Pin Cherry Harbor, she finds a way to keep them involved in her investigation with video conference equipment.

Even though this is an emotional trip for Mitzy she still manages to keep her snarky personality that we all love. The mystery is well written and kept me guessing until the end. Mitzy and Sheriff Harper grow much closer through this shared journey and I think Mitzy is seeing she can let him know a little more of the real Mitzy.

I listened to the audio version of the book. The narrator is wonderful at bringing the story and the characters to life. She really captures each characters’ personality. She has a pleasant voice that allows you to lose yourself in the story.

I really love this series and the audio books are fun to listen to! Overall this a nice series to read this summer! I like the writing style/ voice of the story, it's like listening to a friend tell you a stories about her crazy weekends! Buuut... as an audio book junkie who spends way too much money on books AND the audio books that go with them I have to say I find it criminal to charge the full price of an average women's fiction/ cozy mystery book for a 4 hour book! when I pay $10+ for a 9-12 hour book, 8 hrs the least it's at least reasonable, especially since I'll relisten to the good ones. But to pay $10-12 for a 4 hour listen that's ridiculous, even for a book I like! I've been trying to wait until these shorter ones go on one of my other subscription services that I pay flat fees for the month, but it sinks when I am on the next book and have to wait a month or two until it pops up again!

Laughter Tears and Sighs

I am so glad this series was recommended to me---it is now one of my favorites! The humor and paranormal activities sold me from the start, but ...this book is all about the "feels" as Mitzy is on the hunt for her mother's killer. How does Ms
Silvertale come up with these great plots? Though the pace is fast, this cozy brings out the laughter,tears,and sights. I can't wait to see how Mitzy & Erick's relationship deepens.
I loved this book on Audible! Narrator Coleen Marlo has the perfect pitch for each character and her timing is just right.

I have enjoyed the print version of each of the books in this series, but being able to revist them as Coleen Marlo adds her wonderful narration is a huge treat.

Lot's of witty banter, fun disguises and sleuthing to be had while Mitzi tries to keep her hands off the hottie sheriff! The narrator does an outstanding job of bringing the characters to life and enhancing the well plotted storylines and I absolutely can't wait to listen to the next book in the series! If you like a good paranormal mystery then you need to cue this one up and start listening today!

Mitzy is finally able to find out what happened to her mom , with a trip to Arizona , dangerous territory , suspense and whit , its a trip for sure.Really like the interaction on the phone with her cat and grandma, hoot , some laughs thrown in ,
