If you drive past the lights of downtown Roswell, north on Route 285 into the darkness of the New Mexico desert, you'll run across a little radio station with a single tower. This is the home of WKLEN talk-radio, broadcast through Tower #57.

Fresh out of the local community college and eager to start his career in radio production, Luther Stenson arrives for his first shift as an intern on Evening Sands, a late-night radio show focused on the unexplainable and broadcast throughout the lower forty-eight.

Luther’s first night in radio quickly becomes one he’ll never forget, when a mysterious caller known only as "Magnolia" begins to interfere with the station’s broadcast. As the night progresses, Luther and the station crew are pushed to their psychological and emotional limits as they uncover a life-threatening secret and deal with forces beyond their control. The desert is lonely at night...

In the city known for attracting millions to the uncanny, tonight the uncanny is attracted to the only light in the desert... The blinking red crown of Tower 57.

I would like to listen to more stories like this one. It was very entertaining.

Good Story

Tower 57 was very well written and I enjoyed every episode! The twists near the end surprised me and I was impressed by the way everything tied together. By the end of the last episode I felt attached to the characters. You won’t regret listening to this!

Excellent Writing, Great Story

Started off a little slow at first but pushed through. It was a good story and I like that this book had different characters it helped to keep up with who was who. I hope other authors will consider having different narrators.
I hope there is more to come with this series
I gave 4 stars because the ending left us hanging

Different but interesting

I’m really really liking audible more & more as they transition into well scripted, acted, and/or live recorded “books.”

Tower 57 is one such example. Instead of poking holes in the storyline, which I could assuredly do, I basing this review more like that of a movie. I was simply entertained by this book while both driving for several hours and it was just what I needed. Some audiobooks don’t fill that entertainment role, though they may be well written and full of great character & content depth.

You won’t come away with greater knowledge or self-worth, or understanding of personal triumph/tragedy, but you will feel good about these characters set out in the world of the extraterrestrial believers.

Taking “books” to another level

The actors and story were entertaining. There were a few time I sat in the driveway to finish an episode. That’s how I know it was a good listen.

Careful you might get stuck in your car.
