Publisher's Summary

Life at the academy just got...messy.

I've always dreamed of getting into a top college, but after a stint in juvie, my school prospects went sideways fast. Now I work at a magic academy...as a janitor. Ironic, right?

Okay, so maybe I get a kick out of secretly solving the arcane equations the professors leave on the board for the rich, entitled student wizards. I'm broke, not stupid.

Except then I get caught by the hottest mage on campus...who ropes me into helping him and his three equally gorgeous friends win a decidedly screwed-up magic competition.

Easy enough, I think - until I start setting things on fire and getting chased by smoke-faced monsters and fighting side by side with four of the sexiest, most powerful wizards ever...and find myself - just maybe - falling in love....

With all of them.

Whoops.

Loved it

I loved listening to this book. The secrets the female protagonist - Maddigan - has definitely kept me on my toes, unsure what is going to happen next. The story behind her name almost broke my heart, it definitely put perspective into names and the meanings and thoughts behind them. I thought maybe there would be more chapters in the perspective of the male protagonists but it is just the first chapter and I am assuming there will be some in the next book (I hope). It would definitely be good to get a good insight into the minds of each of the boys. Mason was the smart one in the group who was ready to dish out thoughts he had about situations. He tended to be quite aloof which made it hard to get to know him but what I did get I definitely enjoyed listening to. Connor is adorable how he falls so quickly, he is the adorable heartthrob of the group who definitely seems like the more 'normal' of the group if that even really means anything. Rafe is the privileged rich boy who tends to use things and not think about feelings, instead just the practicality of something. And finally, Luke, the big burly teddy bear who looks intimidating with his size, but is extremely loyal and protects those closest to him. It took me a bit to get used to the narration, but then once I did I loved listening to the book. They were definitely voices I wouldn't have thought of in my head and definitely added that bit of different personality that I love. I would definitely recommend this book and hope you choose to read it. Enjoy!
