Torrent (Angels & Demons Book 1) ~~ This story pulled me in faster than I expected. Right from the beginning, you can feel the tension building around Cassia, and it’s clear she has no idea just how deep she’s about to get pulled into the war between angels and demons. I loved that she isn’t some perfect, ready-made heroine — she’s messy, emotional, unsure, and honestly just trying to keep her head above water while everything supernatural starts crashing into her life.

And then there’s the boys. Lord help me. Each one brings something different to the table, and you can tell right away this isn’t going to be a simple “pick one and move on” kind of story. The chemistry is sharp, but the danger is sharper, and by the time Cassia realizes she’s a target, it’s already too late. One scene near the middle had me clutching my Kindle because I did NOT see that coming — you’ll know it when you hit it.

The ending sets up the series perfectly. No peace, no rest, no neat little bow — just that heavy, “okay, things are about to get much worse” feeling. Exactly what I love in Book 1 of a supernatural series.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

The storyline of this book is so intriguing that I couldn't wait to read/listen to it. I admit at times I wanted to shake Cassia and the boys and tell them to grow up already, and then I remembered that they are teens. It has enough mystery and intrigue to keep you turning the pages

Interesting story

The mystery surrounding Cassia and the two handsome guys in school kept me intrigued and listening to the audiobook. I enjoyed the supernatural elements and it was interesting to see how the author weaved it into the storyline. There was a trope that I’m not a fan of, but the author did a fabulous job taking care of the trope satisfying all parties. I’d recommend this book to someone who enjoys reading YA & UF. Looking forward to the next book.

I thought the narrator was okay. I listened to it at a 2x pace and I found it enjoyable. Good voice for a teenager.

exciting

I was very intrigued by this book from the blurb. it's a twist on the good vs evil. Cassia has a choice-- good guy or bad guy. Step brothers? even better. something dark this way comes. it adds a bit of mystery to it along with her love triangle and I'm super curious to find out who she picks!!

I enjoyed the book enough so that I'll read on to the next.
the narrator was also really decent.

I loved this book! It grabs the listeners attention right from the start amd I definitely could see the Twilight and Mortal Instruments like influences on the storyline.
