Always enjoy this series.

Pawlish did not disappoint with this story. It is quickly becoming one of my favorite book series and Pepper's performance is wonderful as ever. I can't wait to read and or listen to the next book.

Good Plot

Willie and Reed fall asleep in his house, awaking to see her house in flames across the street. They find a body inside the three unit house and she becomes a suspect. Reed sets out to find the killer. Good flowing plot, with some twist, good plot.

TORCH SCENE

This is another good adventure in the life of Reed Ferguson. In this book Reeds Girlfriend Willie is in the middle of an investigation of a fire in a building that she owned and a guy died. Reed has to prove shes innocent. Reed is a private investigator anyway. So its right up his alley. I didn't really care for Willy. Shes ok I just didn't care what happened to her. I like how Reed goes about his P.I. work. Johnny Peppers does a great job narrating this book.

It was interesting to see all the many aspects of solving a case especially one with dealing with fire.

A Fire Changes Everything

Life is good for Reed Ferguson. He has a beautiful girlfriend and work is good. Then the unthinkable happens. His girfriend’s house is set afire and one of her tenants is found dead in the rubble. As usual, Reed steps up to solve the mystery. This installment has the usual twists and turns and unexpected red herrings with the surprise ending.

I have really been enjoying working my way through this series. Reed Ferguson is a likeable guy with fun and dependable friends. There is plenty of humor and references to noir movies. Reed’s obsession with film noir is endearing. His mother is a real hoot! I look forward to seeing more of him.

Johnny Peppers did an excellent job with this narration as usual. He is always a pleasure to listen to!!
