I struggle to find history books of this calibre for my kids. I listened with my children to both WWI and WWII in this series and found them wonderful! This book explained all relevant historical points in clear and concise way, and showed how events led up to each other. It was divided into bite-sized sections, short enough to keep kids' attention, and never belaboring any point unnecessarily. At the end we were all left with understanding of the war, which was good enough to slot any subsequent details into a contextual framework. Most importantly, it was interesting and humorous, an essential aspect of books aimed at the young (and even the not so young!)
My children loved it and begged for more. I hope Tony Robinson writes many more of these books as at the rate we're going we'll finish them very quickly. One on the Industrial Revolution would be nice!

We need more books like this!
