Publisher's Summary

Soaking up a luxurious new chapter alongside her saucy bestie, Cat Cooper plans on emerging as the premier life coach in East Hampton by summertime. All she has to do is survive an off season replete with desolate beaches, slow business, and murder....

As the Hamptons drags through early spring, Cats shot at becoming the toast of the town in time for Memorial Day is dwindling and fast. The only client she can find has been housebound for decades and claims to be the victim of a devastating curse. Then there's the matter of Detective Shepherds intense jealousy over Maks Grinkov, the handsome bad boy who approaches Cat with an unusual offer she cant stop thinking about. Havoc finally breaks loose when a string of murders rocks the coastal community, landing Maks on the hook as the culprit...

While the body count rises, Cat goes from life coaching to sleuthing for the truth about Makss less-than-wholesome background. But after digging deeper, she questions if Detective Shepherd had an unwitting hand in a related homicide case after tangling with the wrong people. With a storm approaching shore and no one to trust, Cat and her sharp-tongued best friend, Gilley, must solve a clients curse and a series of violent deaths before a killer sends them all sailing to their doom.

I love this character

Love this character and storyline. Please keep the series going! Actually it’s one of my favorite so far. I like the narrator! In the psychic detective there was no real voice change. This person is great!

So predictable

Love her story lines. Enjoy her characters but I’m so over her typical, obvious, and quite frankly boring and lazy writing of the love interest. Big surprise she’s dating the lead detective. The chemistry is exactly like all her other lead character relationships. It’s disappointing since the rest of the story is good.

It was a good story, but

I really enjoyed this story, but I figured out 'who done it' and why about half way through the story. I still enjoyed the narrative and immersing myself in this world.

Fun and entertaining

I think I like this series more than the Psychic Eye series. Both are well written but Cat isn't as corny as Abby. I look forward to the next book.

Enjoyable book.

I was looking for a sort of cozy mystery and have always liked Victoria's Psychic Eye series. The mystery in this book kept me guessing and I also found the romantic vibe running parallel enjoyable as well.

A good but predictable ending

Over all interesting but not as good as the other two series. Still a good story teller and interesting characters.
