Perfect for All Ages

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Timothy is a typical 12 year old boy that never felt he fit in, and had no friends except for the imaginary one that had been with him since birth. Plagued by nightmares and bullied by his classmates, Timothy feels helpless and alone. That is until the day he discovers those nightmares are actually glimpses into a world he was meant to enter and explore.
With a cast of fascinating characters, mythical creatures, and lots of action, the author takes you on an adventure that hooks you from the start. Can Timothy harness the powers he never new he had and become a hero for his new friends, or will he choose to return to the life he has always known?
Although this is obviously written for the younger audience, everyone can enjoy this fun and exciting fantasy novel. The narration is superb, which made the story come to life as you listened to this unique and imaginative tale. I definitely recommend you listen to this book.

Fantasy Action For All Ages

This is a very original fantasy adventure about a 12 year old boy who has very vivid nightmares and feels very out of place. His only friend is an invisible imaginary friend who he can only see in mirrors. His world becomes increasingly strange as he starts to put all the pieces together. My 10 year old son listened to this one and loved it but I would say this does hold a bit of a creepy element to it. I would say it's a 3rd grade to adults level read. I definitely recommend this to those who like adventures, fantasy and things that go bump in the night.

The narrator did a great job and was fun and easy to listen to.

Dark Shadows

A fantastic first book in the Timothy Scott series, Timothy is a young boy who has no friends, self confidence and has a recurring nightmare about a dark shawdow that's he needs therapy, being bullied in school and tormented by his brother, he has imagined up a freind, but Timothy discovers his imaginary friend is very real, and when he is draged into a mirror to another world, where magical creatures and new adventure will begin, this book definitely grabs the attention of the reader, intrigued to watch Timothy's character grow and develop, a fantastic coming of age book that focuses on the reality of not fitting in and finding your inner strength, perfect for of Harry Potter Narnia fans, the Narrator George Kuch gives a brilliant preformence, highly recommended...😁

A wonderful adventure begins .............

The first instalment of Timothy Scott Shadow Island

Timothy Scott is a quiet and reserved 12 year old boy who prefers his own company and struggles to socialise with his peers.

He discovers that the voice of his life long ‘imaginary’ friend called Aleobe is actually real and belongs to an Ecilop from another world.

Upon entering the realm of Mielikulvitus with his companion, he meets up with a myriad of fantastical creatures and beasts. Timothy learns that he is special and is a chosen Partum Spiritus whose destiny is to battle the mysterious Dark Entity of his dreams and also the Shadowlands.

The descriptive writing is a delight and you’ll find yourself shutting your eyes as you create in your imagination this wondrous world and all the magical characters encountered.

Loved the ending and so looking forward to the next instalment of Timothy Scott Shadow Island.

George Kuch is a seasoned narrator and brings the story to life.

So if you have children or even as an adult, join Timothy as he overcomes his fears and learns that being different is not a weakness but is in fact his strength.

If you like Percy Jackson I think you’ll like this!

After asking for book recommendations from friends and family I was advised to try Timothy Scott: Shadow Island.
I read part of the book detail and felt sceptical as soon as it mentioned ecilops and Mielikuvitus - I’ve never really enjoyed fantastical books! Anyway, I thought I’d give it a go.
I listen to audible books as I work and I soon found myself pausing to gaze into the distance, imagining what was being described. The narrator has a great voice and I think he really brought the book to life. The scenes described were done in detail by the author and allowed you to feel like you were there.
I’ve not read Percy Jackson but I have seen the films, I did think, after the book concluded, that this would definitely appeal to anyone else who found them enjoyable.
I also think that this would be a great book for a parent to read (and would enjoy doing so) to their child (maybe 6 and above) to engage them in a world where the child could feel like they are the hero - with a bit of help from their parent! ;-)
I’m looking forward to the next instalment!
