Beautiful Authenticity

The words flowed in beauty ,and truth, in pain in and happiness. The vulnerability of the characters was palpable.

Brilliant and beautiful

This is the first review I’ve ever left for an audiobook, but I felt compelled to say that this book and its narration was so poignant and lovely that I bought a hard copy of the book so that I can reread it and highlight my favorite lines. In conversation with my husband, I compared the writing in the book to that of Gabriel Garcia Marquez for its stunning prose. The characters are compelling and the author’s ability to describe aspects of the human condition left me breathless time and again. I plan to read more by this author.

Clever and captivating descriptive writing

So much of a character’s inner self and cultural influences are communicated through few words. Such skillful writing. So very engaging.

This second book about the town of Faha is every bit as engaging and well written as This is Happiness. A balm for the soul.
