Story
According to legend, Annas Zevi, an artist who witnessed the raising of Lazarus, was told by Christ to paint what he saw. Over the centuries, his completed works have vanished, along with every other painting depicting Lazarus' resurrection. They were rumored to be sacred icons with miraculous powers. International art recovery experts Broderick Ladro and Ulla Stuart are hired by a disgraced high court judge, Sir Maxwell Throgmorton, to locate a long lost medieval painting by Spanish artist Francisco Cortez. Like Zevi, his work is said to be divinely inspired.

One thing I've learned about running a shelter for paranormal creatures, you can't afford to let your guard down. It all started when I welcomed an enchanting new guest to my plantation. Strange things started to happen. Well, more strange than usual. I was caught off guard by some conflicting feelings, and it spurred me on to get Brad, the love of my life, committed. To moving in with me, that is. In any case, I was willing to do whatever it took: love spells, black magic, and something so naughty I'd rather not mention it here.

All of my favorite things in one book
This story mixes a little bit of all of my favorite things. There’s mystery and intrigue, some nerdy characters, a budding romance, and a couple red herrings to keep me guessing. Skye and Jeddediah both have some secrets they need to keep, but will these secrets bring them together or tear them apart? And are they as trustworthy as they seem on the surface? The intrigue kept me listening to the very last page, while cheering for a romance to work between Jeddediah and Skye.

An entertaining mystery
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook, the narration was excellent with an English accent for the main character sky. Walker was a gruff intelligent man and they made an interesting and likable couple.
The story seemed to drag on at times, but I still kept listening hoping these two characters would find their happiness.
I am a fan of this author's work and I have listened to a couple of her other audiobooks and enjoyed them as well.

A delightful romantic suspense listen!
Three Weeks Last Spring is a beautifully written romantic suspense novel set in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. I’ve loved Ms. Howard’s book since I discovered them several years ago and was thrilled to start this audiobook.
The author paints an engaging and vivid portrait of the landscape around the islands in chilly April. She also sets up her two main characters with delightful animosity – replete with plenty of sexual tension.
I loved listening to the book, not only because of the intriguing and suspenseful storyline, but because the narrator is outstanding. Virginia Ferguson can portray a woman with a British accent and a man with an American accent with equal ease. The voices are distinct and sound genuine. I’m pretty choosy when it comes to narrators, but this one is top notch!
Skye Dunbar, the female lead, is a complex and fascinating creature. Her relationship with marine biologist Jeddediah Walker makes the story quiver with excitement and anticipation. When a major misunderstanding comes between the two, it’s painful as you wait and watch for them to finally understand each other and fall into each other’s arms! That’s the sign of a great author who knows how to tease out a plot and build dynamic characters.
Thank you, Ms. Howard and Ms. Ferguson, for a superb listen!
Highly recommended by USA Today Bestselling Author, Aaron Paul Lazar.

Skye chose wrong
I found it odd that Jed was referred to by his last name (never first name) all the time, but Skye was called by her first name always. Very irritating. I didn't care for Jed's overly aggressiveness and abuse to Skye. She should have gone to the police about his kidnapping. He was out of control. Jed had an overinflated ego-very unattractive and beyond arrogant. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator wasn't consistent with her accent of Skye. Sometimes she was british voiced and others she was American. Smh. Skye seems to gravitate toward abuse men according to her past so Jed fits her pattern.

Romantic mystery
Skye is computer programmer that goes to the San Duan Islands to escape her past relationship. She meets marine biologist Walker who is investigating the toxic chemicals poisoning the sea life in the ocean. His computer gets hacked and he suspects Skye, but she is just as unwilling to like him as he is of her, although the dislike quickly turns into something else.
The story was well paced. The characters were interestingly described and develop nicely throughout. The other supporting character added well to the story with some emotional moments welcome in the story. The book felt to be more of a romance than a mystery but was curlte nonetheless.
Overall, the book had a good mix of romance, passion, emotional moments, and a little mystery. I enjoyed the story. The narrator was not bad, but could have had more tonality in the performance.

I really enjoyed this book from a new author!
I had not heard of this author but took a chance and downloaded her book from Audiobooks Unleashed for free to read on Audible. I liked the book so much that I wanted to leave a review with my own opinion. This story takes place quite a bit in and around Pungent Sound at a cottage that Skye has rented to get away for a month to relax and heal from a broken relationship. She is rented this cottage because she was told there was nothing around her and that is what she wants to be totally alone. When a nosy man introduces on her she is livid that she has to deal with anyone. Walker owns his own company and also the cottage that Skye is staying in! Although he isn't staying there. This book deals with a subject that concerns a lot of people and I found it very interesting. Give it a listen well worth your time.

Crime and Romance
As romances go, this was absolutely fine. We have the usual mix of attraction, misunderstanding, mistrust, and conclusion. I'm not really sure I liked the main characters, though.
Walker was a jerk, and Skye was too naive for the successful business woman she was meant to be.
The mystery that made her so vulnerable didn't rub with me, imo, there was absolutely no reason this could have been used to blackmail her.
The narration was fine, though, and the story wasn't boring at all, so I had no trouble finishing it.
I don't feel this novel compares to the other two novels I've read by this author, though.
I can't really say why that is, maybe because I am older now?
Anyway, I still enjoyed the book.
