Publisher's summary

She's an English Rose, and I'm about to be a thorn in her side.

She doesn't belong here. From the moment she steps foot in Rosewood High - it's clear she must go.

And I'll use my power to get rid of her. The betrayal I'm reminded of each time our eyes lock must end.

She's a lost rich girl, trying to recover from the death of her parents. But none of that is my concern.

This is my life. My rules. My senior year. What I say goes.

And I say she's done.

Until she proves me wrong....

Dear listeners,
Thorn is a little different to my usual; it's a high school bully romance with high levels of angst, drama, and emotions. It is an upper YA romance and not intended for listeners under 17.

Abusive, mentally and physicall

Jake was mentally and physically abusive towards Amalie. There is nothing hot, sexy, nor any redeeming quality in him to become romantic. He physically injured two girls and both girls had to go to the hospital for treatment. One of those girls was Amalie. He created a fake photo of Amalie down on her knees doing you know what to his junk, with her cell number included, stating for a price you too can have a good time. Then he texted that fake photo out to most of the students at school. Then they shared it with every one they knew. That lead to most of the students degrading her. Jake called Amalie a whore through out most of the story. All he did was curse and fight. Jake even fought his best friend every chance he could get. Just because that friend tried to talk some sense into him. So, if you find an abusive guy sexy, this is the book for you. If you enjoy the girl being weak, ok with being treated like a doormat, this is the book for you. I don't see an HEA. I see Jake being a drunk and Amalie financially supporting him. This wasn't a bully story, but a story about abuse and accepting that abuse from the abuser. I will give book II a try and hope the story isn't obnoxious like this one. I'm not giving up on the author, just this book. No re-read for me in the future. By the way the narrators get five stars. I'm hoping the next book in this series, I will be able to do the same.

Great story, bad narration.

This was a fun bully romance. However, the male narrator was so terrible that I almost quit listening.

So Good!

I love how the female narrator did a great job with Emily's accent and her feistiness really came through. The story grabs you and doesn't let you go until the very end.

Horrible attitudes, language & sex for a high school book.

This was absolutely horrible. I gave it through 11 chapters and couldn’t take it any more. For one, an English 18 year old, would never be an American junior high school student unless they flunked out a couple years. Two, the language is constantly foul and so much sex, I am surprised it is a high school and not college. I just can’t get into this book because it has such a negative filth vibe to me. Others my like it, but it’s not for me and I would not recommend it. I did not care for the male narrator, but the female narrator was really good.

Amazing

There is nothing about the audiobook I don’t love. The story, the characters, everything was perfection. The narrators brought this story to life just the way I imagined it when I first read the book. This is an amazing book that I recommend to all bully romance lovers.

I thought the story and performance were okay. Not bad, not great. I'm going to give the next book in the series a shot.

Ambivalent

I am not sure what to say about this story. I did finish it without too much trouble. I believe Tracy Lorraine did a good job overall, however the H was more than just flawed. Some how I could understand HOW he could of been upset with his mother and transferred that hostility to the h, but it just didn't "feel" right. The story overall was good, the narration good as well with the exception of the male voice when he attempted "female". I agree with previous reviews that say the story seemed more mature than high school. There were some very unlikeable and unreliable characters in this story as well. I am not sure it's credit worthy, but definitely sale worthy.

Way Too Much Profanity

I have been into these high school bully genres lately. I don’t know why because if this were real life, it wouldn’t be as fun. I did like the story between Jake and Amelie. He’s a real jerk, and for some reason he hates her. Of course, that is a clue that they will fall madly in lust.

At times it was part of me that these were supposed to be high school students. They seem so much more mature than the high school kids I went to school with years ago.

I didn’t really care for the male narrator, and I thought that the profanity was too much. I don’t think you need to use the F-word every other sentence when writing a book. It took away from it.

A Bully Romance!

This was my first Tracy Lorraine's book, and won't be my last! This is the first book in the Rosewood High Series, an amazing High School Bully Romance. Amalie and Jake's story is emotional, filled with angst, and drama. The storyline is intriguing and captivating. I loved it! Rachel Woods and Patrick James did an amazing job with this duet narration. I love their voices together. Looking forward to read or listen to the next book in the Series, Pain.

Amazing.

I’ve read and listened to this story and what can I say, it’s absolutely amazing both in print and audio.

Tracy Lorraine is my best author ever and I just love her stories so much. Thorn is undoubtedly my favourite and she was able to turn my hate to love of bully romance.

Her words capture you and pull you in and the story just sucks you in so completely, you will never want it to end. The characters are amazing, Thorn makes you want to hate him but equally love him.

Definitely a 5 star read/listen.

Great start to series

Jake and Amily were a breath of fresh air. I love that Jake's feelings were pretty well know from the beginning it was just getting to the stage of admitting them. Loved that Amily did not take on of the mess thrown at her lying down. Can't wait to see what is in store for Mason and Camila in the next book.

Young Love at its best!

I have fell in love with this author and what a book to start with!

Tracy Lorraine was a recommended author and not knowing where to start I decided to try Thorn and I was hooked from instantly.

The main characters in this book are so complex that I completely forgot that they were high school teenagers. Their enemies to lovers journey wasn't easy, but when is it ever? While they hated each other, there was that instant connection that just wouldn't disappear. Their interactions and banter are some of the best features in the book and it was one of the reasons I kept reading.

Thorn, is a fantastic High School Bully romances that I have read. I was sucked in from the first page with the style of Tracy's writing, her plot and characters. I am so glad that I followed up on this recommendation as I have found a new author that I know I will be reading more off!!

I would highly recommend Thorn!
