Great writing
Harry Bingham is a great writer. One of the best. I look forward everyday to the hour that I spend inside of Fiona's head. When I finish this series I will move on but I will be back. This is a series that I will revisit every few years. It is just that good.

A roaring good yarn
After the 3rd title in this series, which was so good, this one seems a little tame to begin with but soon roars to life. Griffiths is one of the most shocking and unpredictable women investigators of any fictional series. I’m no good at synopses so read other reviewers for that. The character of Fiona Griffiths continues to take risks and pursue justice even if it means going to extreme lengths. Of course in real life she would have been fired from her job long ago. But lucky us, we get to imagine a woman of derring do, guts, with a light smattering of heart. Never syrupy and never “normal” this series continues to entertain.
