Better than London Calling...

I could not finish listening to London Calling, but this one was better, more interesting.
Narration was great on both of them.
Going for the third book in the series...

And the fun times just keep rolling!

This is another funny one from Clare Lydon. I like that the characters had chemistry from the beginning but took so long to overcome the challenges and each other's flaws. There were a few good twists that surprised me but just added to the goodness. The narrator of course continues to be great, I just love her voice. I'm definitely digging this series! I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

Good read!

Lots of action and angst to engage the reader. I was pulling for the main characters, who did not have a bumpless ride.

Arts and Flowers

Kate Carter is a successful art editor looking for a special relationship when she visits a florist in her mother’s neighbourhood. Meg Harding and her mother own the florist shop and Meg is trying to start a new life when her girlfriend decided to drop her. Since they owned a house she was living in the same house with her ex. Lies of omission lead to misunderstanding and heartbreaking tension. A cast of characters with twists and turns make a winning romance. Recommend.

Love you so let's not talk

Loved first book, liked this one, but can't we lose the "I love you, but we shouldn't talk because, reasons."

Enjoyable

It's a solid romance but, for me, the contrived angst situations that all these romances must have were just not that big a deal so the characters reactions to them did not seem reasonable. I won't spoil the book but I was doing some massive eye-rolling at the end. Don't let that stop you from listening just be prepared to just go with it. I will get the next book. Narrator did a good job.

London out does Paris for lesbian love

This is the second book in the London series. Clare Lydon has done such a wonderful job of creating characters that are believable and well developed. This is a stand alone but is mildly woven with snippets of activity from the first book. Kate and Megan repeatedly have roadblocks in their attempts to become involved. All of the characters have relationship angst and they are all so individual there is not a boring or slow moment in this book. It is the realistic and emotional way that this process is shared that makes this such a good book. Emily Bennet does a wonderful job of narrating and I am a sucker for a good British accent. I am looking forward to the next novel.

My favourite of the series - so far

I love this story of Meg and Kate, they are totally meant to be together. There's a lot of comedy and a good dose of angst thrown in to balance things out. And of course a good old plot twist which I didn't see coming - that's always Good! Give yourself a treat and listen to this. Although it can be enjoyed by itself, I would say listen to the series to get a more rounded picture of the characters.

English accents are awful

I had to stop listening as the English accents were awful. Disappointing as the synopsis made the story sound promising

Another fantastic audiobook

I love Kate and Meg's story. Having read the book over a year ago, it was great to have the opportunity to listen to the audiobook, the narration is wonderful and loved the different English accents the characters have. Great series.
