Story
When you think of a Christian pastor, you probably don't envision a tattooed 30-something who wears a motorcycle jacket, listens to hip-hop music, references The Walking Dead and Black Lives Matter in his sermons, and every Sunday draws a standing-room only crowd to a venue normally used for rock concerts - in godless New York City, no less. But then you clearly have never met Carl Lentz. As head pastor of the first United States branch of global megachurch Hillsong, the former college basketball player is on a mission to make Christianity accessible in the 21st century.

Story
Brian Johnson shares how the panic and anxiety of his early life - panic he’d thought he’d beaten - came back to haunt him. After experiencing debilitating anxiety attacks from the age of seven into his early adult years, Brian learned how worship ushered in the presence of God and pushed the panic away. But in the midst of his success, the ghost of his childhood anxiety returned, stronger than ever, and it pulled Brian into a downward spiral of chaos and darkness.

"How's your soul?" Instead of a perfunctory "how are you?", Judah Smith asks people this surprising question, because he knows that the health of the soul - the deepest part of ourselves - is overlooked in the busyness of everyday life. But the truth is, all the things people most desire in life - stability, peace, hope, love - are rooted in the health of their souls, and they need an intentional daily journey to manage it well.

Story
In both sports and war, athletes and soldiers must work to have a mental edge to successfully deal with all that they encounter. While success for both is typically defined as overcoming their respective opponents, the reality is that their victories can never happen unless they’ve first won their internal battles. I Declare War is a practical guide for fighting our inner war, the struggle against sin that breaks us down and fills our lives with pain and suffering, in turn making us feel weak and inadequate.

Story
The human heart was created with a great capacity to love. But along with that comes a great capacity to feel pain. There is no denying that those who love us, who are closest to us, can wound us the most profoundly. That kind of pain can be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. And it can feel even more impossible to continue loving in the face of it. Yet that is exactly what we are called to do. Sharing his own story of pain, pastor and best-selling author Jentezen Franklin shows us how to find the strength, courage, and motivation to set aside the hurt, see others as God sees them, and reach out in love.

Story
Millions are satisfied to sit through hour-long, weekly religious services. Millions more have left the church, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up his people - people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful church seen in Scripture. We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. That wondrous early church of acts can be our reality today.

Publisher's Summary
Founder and Global Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church and author of Live Love Lead shows how, with God's power, you can believe and achieve a life that exceeds every earthly expectation. When you surrender control and follow God's guidance, you become empowered and equipped to do the impossible, reach higher, and go further than you could have ever imagined - giving him all the glory.
By building our lives around godly principles, surrounding ourselves with wisdom, and living for a cause greater than ourselves, we can effectively live out God's purposes and have an enduring impact. As Brian Houston has personally discovered, when we depend on Jesus as the source for our identity, our lives can be a lasting legacy that maximize the gifts he has given each of us as unique individuals.
There is More is for anyone who wants to be challenged to live with expectancy. Ephesians 3 is a call to release the immeasurable potential within you and the exceeding, abundant, and above plans and purposes of a Holy God that are beyond your greatest imagination. "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen" (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Selfhelp cliches for Hillsong
I really tried to like it. As part of Hillsong, I felt that this was my duty, but I gave up. . .
The first problem is his voice which is just unsuited for narration.
The second problem is that this book is so fluffy, it is like a self-help book, but with a Christian cover.
Nothing noteworthy about it. It does some heavy flirting with prosperity gospel, but as far as I can tell, never really crosses the line. Nothing completely out of orthodoxy, just a bunch of fluff.
I did not return the book. I did finish it despite almost giving up several times. not because it was difficult, just...bla.

False Gospel
Although many of the ideas addressed in this book can be found in the Bible, I found that the majority of the book was experiential narrative. And even so, many of the stories lacked a punch to really be "book worthy", let alone parables or allegories to relate to the Biblical narrative. On top of that, I found many misinterpretations of scripture, which leaned heavily upon the false prosperity gospel of our generation. Unfortunately, this is a commonly accepted belief among those claiming Christ. I would encourage those of you who align with Brian Houston, and the like's, views on the gospel, to really search your scriptures... Dive into commentaries, thumb through your lexicon, and pray that the Spirit would lead you in correct understanding of Christ's work, purpose, and his calling toward us, especially in regards to the intended nature of our relationship and interactions with God. My prayer is that all would come to the truth, and set aside desires for worldly prosperity... Trading it in for eternal communion with our creator and heavenly reward.

Read the Book Instead!
The book is not too bad. It had a few things worth remembering, but the narration was terrible. I don't mean to sound harsh but his voice sounds like he's sick & the number of mispronounced words is laughable. I suggest reading the book on your own, or as the narrator would say, "owen."
