Story
In March of 1980, college senior Peter Panagore went ice climbing on the world-famous Lower Weeping Wall, along the Ice Fields Parkway in Alberta, Canada. His climbing partner was an experienced ice climber, but Panagore was a novice. On their descent, they became trapped on the side of the mountain. As the sun set, he was overcome by exhaustion and hypothermia. He died on the side of that mountain in 1980. In his minutes on the other side, he experienced hell, forgiveness, and unconditional love.

Story
After an accident leaves a loving father in a coma, on the verge of life and death, he travels to another place. On the outside, he was in a hospital bed; but, on the inside he was in place he calls, “The Place Between Here and There.” It was a place where time did not exist; where people were spirits; and where he learned the wisdom of the universe. This book details his journey to this wondrous place, then back to Earth, where he must rehabilitate from grave injuries, only to then experience the worst tragedy a parent can imagine.

Suffering from severe spinal and head injuries, Rynes knew she was dying. At that moment, she underwent the first of two life-changing near-death experiences - her consciousness split between her frightened, injured self lying on the road, and an impartial, peaceful observer-consciousness who watched as first responders fought to keep her alive. Her second, more lengthy near-death experience came days later, during the surgery that attempted to repair her traumatized spine.

Your Soul's Plan (which was originally published under the title Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?) explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, before we are born for the purpose of spiritual growth. Through compelling profiles of people who knowingly planned the experiences mentioned above, Your Soul's Plan shows that suffering is not purposeless, but rather imbued with deep meaning.

Healing and Purpose by Denying Self For Jesus

Publisher's Summary
Built airplane. Flew airplane. Crashed airplane. Met God. all set.
Jim Bruton knows life. His past is marked by relentless curiosity and remarkable achievement. He was an African wilderness guide, Emmy Award-winning wildlife film director, aviator, adventurer, inventor of the satellite videophone, NBC News Middle East war correspondent, a husband, and a father.
His passion - building and flying WWI-era aircraft - led him where he never imagined he’d go: a horrific crash that left him for dead. For one week, Jim Bruton hovered in the place that is not life and not death, a place he came to know as the In Between. He came back, and this is his report of what he has seen.
Bruton takes us along for a by turns hair-raising and ultimately triumphant story of his coming to grips with what has happened to him. As he heals, his experiences in the In Between become more and more pressing. They download into his mind like rushing movie stills. His life of action turns internal. He uses all he knows - from quantum physics and battlefield memories to scenes of childhood and familial love - for a new deeper understanding of what it means to live.
Jim Bruton, the man who fell from the sky, is not the same man who flew into it. And if you walk some of his journey with him, neither are you.
About the author: Jim Bruton has lived a life many people dream of but few experience. As a little boy, he lived within an active imagination, including a love for wildlife filming, international travel, science fiction, and vintage aviation. In adulthood, he checked every one of those off his list with internationally recognized achievements, an Emmy for a National Geographic wildlife film, traveling to all seven continents, the Titanic, the North Pole, and Mt. Everest, shrinking a satellite TV truck into a backpack, and transmitting live video from places before impossible and building and flying historical reproduction aircraft from World War I and the early 1930s.
For many, any one of these adventures resulted in a single lifetime achievement. For Jim, it was just the beginning, climaxing with the crash of his last aircraft and the near-death experience that followed.

Great book! Ground breaking NDE literature.
This is an experiencers book accessable to any reader. Jim Bruton represents one of the most spiritually prepared NDEs I've ever encountered in the 40 years since my own experience. Well written with deep spiritual concepts so eloquently and simply put. Ground breaking in NDE literature. It demonstrates just how accessible a "spiritual" life is to anyone at any time in any place. Short on dogma but filled with real insightful gems that reflect a rich and conscious life experience. What an invitation this book really is to a richer life experience for any reader.
