“What's this?” Kate asked and turned to show Andri. “Whoa.” He pushed it away. “That's an energy weapon. If you’re hit by a bolt from that, you'll get cooked from the inside out.” He scanned the area. They were in a dense jungle with all sorts of birds flying in and around them. He set his weapon down for a minute, peeking over the bushes to get his bearings. “We are on the planet of Skolt. I’ve been here before.” Her eyes went down to the weapon. “We're going to kill somebody, aren't we?” “Only if they try to kill us.” “I don't want to do this anymore. I want to be a doctor. I want to help people, not kill them.” Andri adjusted the neckline of his blue uniform. “You can't quit.” A Time God’s job is to protect the galaxy, but who is going to protect the Time Gods? The dangers increase as new, younger Time Gods arrive.
