I’m an all-or-nothing man - 100 percent focused on whatever has my attention. First it was serving my country in the Special Forces. Then it was building my business. Right now it’s the hot blonde at the bar who’s about to become another notch on my bedpost.

But women never keep my attention for more than a night.

Until I peel off Skylar Anderson’s clothes and her mask starts to crumble, showing me glimpses of the girl she’s hiding. She’s funny, sexy, and vulnerable and throws me out of bed before I can catch my breath and suggest breakfast.

When I start my last undercover job on a yacht, turns out she’s one of the crew. I try, but I can’t look away.

Her high ponytail shows off her kissable neck that tastes like summer.

Her short uniform reveals the killer legs that were wrapped around me last night.

And her provocative smile? I know what that mouth is capable of.

I want to explore her body, discover her secrets, and sail off into the sunset with her.

I might want to go all in for Skylar, but she should stay away from me.

I’ve got secrets of my own, and they can only bring her trouble.

This story did not go where I expected it to go, and that's fine. In fact, I love it when an author surprises me like that. So while it wasn't quite what I thought I was getting into, it was still a very enjoyable read with lots of steaminess going on between main characters Landon and Skylar. If you're the kind of reader that just can't shed that suspension of belief, then you might not enjoy this story. It is, after all, a romance--not a techno-thriller, so if you're the type to nit-pick every little detail to death, well...you've been warned. But if you're looking for a steamy, well written romance with a hero that displays amazing heart and selflessness, this is it.

While this story shares some characters with another novel by this author, it can easily be read as a standalone. So grab your favorite drink, a blankie, and prepare to curl your toes through this delightful tale of love on the Riviera.

I could listen to Mr.East until I die he could be 90 but if kept talking I'll think about hot 🔥 40 something guy. Too bad you keep switching it up I also wanted to say please make sure your female narrator sounds as nice before this there was a character named Darcy by a female named Emogen I didn't care for that one as much in Earl of London.

love 💘 the narration

I always love Andi Arndt and Shane East’s narration. They are fabulous. I enjoyed the story. The characters were hesitant to allow their feelings, but couldn’t deny the chemistry between them. I thought it was sweet the way it ended. I haven’t read/listened to a book by Louise Bay that I didn’t love.

Loved it!

Skylar and Landon's story was good. I like the plot of the story. I was hoping for a bit more suspense when I read about what Landon was to be doing. It was a quick light read by an author I am enjoying reading.
