Precognition; a world ruled by Relativism; giant alien jellyfish. The World Jones Made is a classic Philip K. Dick mash-up, taking deep philosophical musings and infusing them with wild action.

Floyd Jones has always been able to see exactly one year into his future, a gift and curse that began one year before he was even born. As a fortune-teller at a post-apocalyptic carnival, Jones is a powerful force, and may just be able to force society away from its paralyzing Relativism. If, that is, he can avoid the radioactively unstable government hitman on his tail.

Big fan of PKD but this wasn’t his best. It felt more like a fix-up book of 3 short stories rather a cohesive novel. There were some classic PKD themes and an overall entertaining sci-fi listen. Though the book lacked the deeper layers of PKD other books like Ubik or A Scanner Darkly.

Narration was awesome, Edoardo Ballerini always does a great job.

This story did not feel timeless whatsoever. You can feel the time that is written in almost oppressively. It wasn't always comfortable. Speculative fiction isn't always supposed to be, But it never felt that way to me before.

A fine presentation but not one of thefirst rate PKD novels. I recommend it but not without reservations.
