Publisher's summary

The letter is addressed to me. No stamp, swirly handwriting in black ink. I pull out a piece of paper, stiffening when I read the message. Hands trembling, the note slides to the floor: Your husband is having an affair.

Six words written in neat block letters. Six words slipped through her letterbox, destroying her marriage, exposing Ella’s perfect life as perfect lies.

But Ella has a plan: Alice is the answer to her problems. A lodger to help keep her afloat, a friend to keep the loneliness at bay.

Only Alice has her own reasons for wanting to live at 46 Heath Street....

Old diary + family secrets collide with the present

This book has a lot more depth and dimension than the summary indicates. It’s more on the side of “The Letter” or any of those books that are guided by flashbacks and old letters, diaries or journals. With that said, it was entertaining, I wasn’t blown away by the character development and it is not as polished as most similar books out there — but I was pleasantly surprised as the plot revealed to be more than just a married couple with fidelity issues.

Enjoy a chilling thriller of a roller coaster ride

I finished this in one day. Both Lesley Sanderson and Zara Ramm are in sync and I was easily audicted to this heartfelt, emotional mystery. A favorite in my almost eight years with Audible, it is filled with several different subplots. We are treated to the intricate and sad storyline filled with unexpected surprises. Brilliant! I’ve listened to Ramm in the past and, as always, her vocals are perfectly presented in this unique and curious offering. Sanderson’s interweaving writing style has always been a favorite of mine with the promise of a satisfying ending. Worth a credit. I can’t recommend “The Woman at 46 Heath Street” enough. “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

Pathetic Needy Main Character

This book was simply awful. The main character was so gullible and over the top needy. The other characters were unlikable and didn’t build up enough of a story. This was at best a mystery but not really, anyone with half a brain can see how this book will end.

I do not recommend this if you love thrillers and good mysteries.

Boring

The story was drawn out and boring. The characters were well developed but the story was just plain boring.
