Publisher's summary

Bay Winchester is living the high life. She’s engaged, owns her own business, and is undergoing a magical transformation, complete with growing powers at every turn. All that changes when a local teenager goes missing at a festival and nobody knows who took her.

The girl’s friends saw the abduction, but the description they provide doesn’t match anybody in town. The only other witness is Marcus, her cousin Thistle’s boyfriend, and he was seriously injured in the attack and can’t provide additional information.

Bay is determined to solve the case, although she’s not sure where to look. On top of that, her normal partner in crime is otherwise engaged, which means her mother has decided to tag along for the ride. Bay is the sort of witch who is willing to put herself on the line to save those who need saving. Unfortunately, this time around, the answers she finds only lead to more questions. On top of that, her great-aunt Willa and cousin Rosemary have arrived in town out of nowhere and they seem to be harboring their own secrets, and it’s something that could change the entire trajectory of Bay’s life.

The Winchesters are loyal, and it’s going to take all of them working together to solve this one. It seems new magic is afoot, and whoever is wielding it is deadly. Magic, mystery, and mayhem are about to collide. Batten down the hatches. The Winchesters are about to take you on a wild ride.

A fun addition!

I love the small town intrigue as much as the witch stuff and the drama heats up!

I love the Winchesters

This was another great installment of one my favorite witch families. Plenty of laugh out loud moments with Thistle and Aunt Tillie. The word pervert was used way too many times in my opinion, but as always, I look forward to the next Winchester adventure.

what. the. actual. Crap? why is Chief Terry DAVENPORT, suddenly Chief Terry BradShaw?!! i meannn, what's up with That?! someone called him bradshaw in an earlier book and i thought it was a mistake on the narrator's part. this is seriously straight ridiculous. talk about the way of soap operas! i wonder if Clove's baby will be Born in one book, and be a Teenager in the next!?!!
i legit love you, AML, but you Need to get ur sh*t together!! it's like, 17 books in and now you straight don't give a sh*t!

LOVED IT!😍

Great story. Can't wait to see what happens next. Looking forward to seeing the evil foursome (my name for them) get some Karma in the next book!

Annoying Narration

I love Amanda M. Lee’s books, but I’m so tired of listening to this series narrated as if all the voices were done by Betty Boop. I’ve actually avoided buying the latest one for just that reason.

I don’t know what accent Hollis McCarthy has, but I have never heard it used by anyone other than her in anything produced after 1940. It absolutely is nothing used in Michigan, where this series is set.

The accent is so incredibly cloying. It’s like baby talk. I have tried to get used to it in this series and one of Kristin Painter’s, but I just can’t anymore. I’m not buying anymore audio books from any authors, no matter how much I enjoy their writing, if they are narrated by her. It’s just too painful.
