Editorial Reviews

The Wind in the Willows is an endearing tale of friendship and adventure. Flo Gibson's colorful performance captures the vivacity of the characters, and the richness of the story itself. Her voice changes tones and inflections, making the listening experience one that is not easy to forget. This Kenneth Grahame classic is a must-have for children of all ages. The protagonist, a shy and kind Mole, befriends Rat, Badger, and Toad. The four friends become a force to be reckoned with as they venture around the Thames Valley.

Publisher's Summary

When shy Mole ventures from his new home on the River Bank, he meets friendly Rat, gruff Badger and rich, crazy Toad. The 4 soon become friends and embark on rollicking adventures, from lazy picnics to wild motor-car rides to war with the Weasels. The Wind in the Willows began as a bedtime story that its author, Kenneth Grahame, told to his 4-year-old son. The tale quickly became one of the best-loved children's stories of all time.

Terrible Audio Quality

This recording sounds as if it were made in a tin can. The "S" sounds rip through you making the book virtually unbearable to listen to.

This is a fantastic book, but go elsewhere for an audio version.
