Publisher's summary

In a breathtaking island paradise, it’s easy for a handsome local and a sexy tourist to get swept away in a tart and tempting romance by a USA Today bestselling author.

A destination wedding on La Jarra Island for Tillie James’s sister has its drawbacks: hair-wrecking ocean spray and pincher crabs. And its perks: sexy, hotheaded beachfront bartender Gabe Landers, who brings out the competitive streak in fellow drinkslinger Tillie. When the rivals get together for a cocktail-making challenge, the blend is pure bliss, leaving them shaken and stirred.

The spirited blue-eyed tourist from Georgia makes Gabe’s head spin faster than his signature drink, the mermaid sunrise. But he’s determined not to obsess—out-of-towner love stories never last. Tillie agrees. They’ll just enjoy each other for now and make a clean break. No strings. No attachments. No chance. But when Tillie’s kiss goodbye comes with an invitation for Gabe to visit Atlanta, he can’t resist. As fate has it, it’s home to a heartbreaking piece of his own past.

As Tillie and Gabe face new challenges, destiny could tear them apart…or turn an intoxicating romance on the rocks into more than they ever expected.

Didn’t like female voice

The male voice was great. Female no do much. She chipped her words. Like a 5th grader.

much better. narrators - eh

Drew & Tillie: triggers: child abandonement. Okay so I have to say I enjoyed this book more that the first one. Tillie is Ensley's youngest sister and they are all at Ensley's destination wedding. When is suddenly crashes by unexpected guests, Drew, a bartender, comes to save the day. Only Drew is pissed that the "tourists" were making such a big deal about the guests. Drew and Tillie tear into each other over the situation and end up in a bartender competition. Slowly the two become close and end up falling for each other. Only they live in two different worlds. Such a sweet story and funny at times.

Disappointed

The narrators make the story. The male narrator was fine. The female narrators was disappointing. Her voice did not fit the character. it took away from the story. I stuck with it, but it was not enjoyable.

Cute story

I see most of the reviews are about terrible narration for the female character. I don’t think there was a problem with the narrator. I think she sounds black and the character is blue eyed and blonde and some people take issue with that. The reviews are the more disappointing than anything about this book.

Emotional story

Liked Tilly and Gabe, the dual povs about parental abandonment were handled with grace. The love story was really sweet and spicy

Great story

I don't understand the reviews about poor narration. This was a cute book with a good female and male narrator.

Cute story, wrong narrator

The storyline is great, it’s a nice follow up to the first in this series.

Unfortunately, the female narrator in the story is the completely wrong choice. The character is strong, and sassy, and a total Spitfire. The narrator plays her like a Southern and a complete ditz.

I decided to quit listening to the audible version of this book and just write it on Kindle. It was much better!!!

Terrible Female Narrator

Great male narrator, good story, female narrator didn’t fit and read way too slow. Glad I didn’t use a credit for this one.
