The deeper we enter the Living a Meaningful Life series the more attached we become to our main stay characters. As installment eight unfolds, readers are further entrenched in Rudy’s role within. From lake operations to wedding planning, activity fees to Christmas readings, Rudy’s place within the community is solidifying and his father’s love, admiration, and respect shines through.

Rudy’s had a tough life, he’s seen too much in his short time on Earth, but how he carries himself, the friends he keeps, and the good deeds he’s doing shows readers that we can always find ways to live a meaningful life, no matter what our circumstances may be. As romances bloom, and knots are tied, author Brian Hunter continues to engross readers in the enjoyable lessons he weaves within.

As the installments continue, life progresses, and the impact Rudy, our narrator, and their family have on us is immeasurable. Their story, this series, is an unforgettable unraveling of otherwise forgettable characters, that live in such a way that roots them in our hearts.

Hunter has done us all a priceless favor by creating such a heartwarming series, appealing to all ages, as this fictional town with these fictional characters, makes the world a better place. Watching these characters grow up, maturing on the page as they take on more responsibilities and shape the lives of those around them, gives readers a tangible example of how we can live more meaningfully in our own lives. This series is one I can’t put down as these characters have quickly made a home for themselves within my own heart, teaching me a thing or two about living a better life.
