Heartwrenching, Yet Encouraging

Dutta has done a wonderful job with this book. Part autobiographical, part biographical, part fiction, all poignant to hammer home his points. I read and greatly appreciated the book, but wanted to also reinforce the lessons learned without having to commit time to sitting down to read. Kudos to Chris Abell for the way he was able to personalize the stories and the lessons. One did not recognize where author's voice ended and the narration began.

I've read a lot of self-help and business books in my life, but honestly cannot remember one that impacted me in the way The Way of the Quiet Warrior did. Though much different in story and approach, I would compare it to Og Mandino's classic "The Greatest Salesman in the World."

So Much to Like!

After hearing so many good things about Mr. Dutta's book, I purchased the audible version to accompany my recent six-hour road trip Also, I love inspiring stories about successful people who leave the corporate world to pursue the thing they always really wanted to do and were happier in doing so.
There was so much more as I listened to the narrator. The stories interspersed throughout are a touch of genius and incredibly captivating and relate-able. I will have to listen a second time to digest some gems I may have missed but, in all, I came away with a stronger sense of hope and greater motivation to not give up on my dreams and goals at this stage in my own life.
Although the book seems to be written for a mature audience such as those like myself who struggle with destructive issues in their past holding them back, I think this will be a perfect gift to give to my college-age grandson when he graduates soon with a degree in business & finance and launches into his own entrepreneurial career.
Thank you to the author who eloquently shared his heart and hard-earned wisdom.

Easy-to-listen-to guide on finding happiness!

For the person who feels stuck, the author describes a process for figuring out how to find happiness again. The process is simple, although the work at each step may be hard. By sharing the gut-wrenching story of his own life, Tom Dutta makes it okay for others to explore their own tragedies. The opening stories for each phase are beautifully written. They could be readable stories in their own right. Most people have deep pains they try to ignore. The Way of the Quiet Warrior shows how to use those pains to find a path for success.

Very easy to listen to and follow what you need to do next.

Highly recommemded!

I usually am not interested in coaching type of books but Tom Dutta's story that was composed of various different stories does not tell what to do, it shows various situations from author's life itself also illustrated with fictional versions that were based on real people and their stories. Narrator Chris Abell made a great job setting these stories to life with his soothing voice.

Audiobook of Quiet Warrior lets you grow a sword inside your heart that enables to fight off obstacles in our lives. This audiobook is directed to business people mostly but any other person would find it relatable as well.

Puzzle Pieces

Do you need to see the picture of the puzzle you want to put together? What if that puzzle is your life? Do you know what you want it to look like? Tom Dutta, uses this metaphor in his book, The Way of the Quiet Warrior, as one that many think is a simple plug and play. Instead, you have to think of the puzzle to ensure that you are building what you want to. Which, so many just do what they are told.

The quiet warriors of the world are the many, not the few, and if you are looking for an avenue to figure out what the puzzle of life looks like and how to put it together, be sure to pick up or download a copy of TWOTQW.

Transformative message told in inspiring fashion

I read a lot of books about how we can become the best versions of ourselves. I enjoy writing that opens up your thinking about how to continue to evolve as a human being over your lifetime. This book was excellent and stands apart for a number of reasons.
1) The author wove "fictional" stories into the teaching. This takes courage. Most non-fiction authors, and I am one of them, focus on their primary message and how to deliver it effectively. By using stories, Mr. Dutta activated my feelings and emotions and not just my cognitive processes. This makes the teaching much more powerful. This clearly reflects his heart for this message which makes it more powerful for me. It also makes it more entertaining.
2) While he delivered a lot of information, he kept the message well organized and succinct. This was an easy book to listen to. The message was very clear and the stories kept you interested. He did not overtalk his points. He made them crystal clear and they followed a logical progression building upon themselves. The process he is proposing for discovering our purpose and taking the steps to realize that purpose feels doable and it makes sense.
3) He balanced the art and science of human development. His process is scientific and is founded on evidence-based principles. You feel you can trust the information. At the same time, the methods are based on his real experience working with real people over time. I am a physician who focuses on trying to help people change their habits to transform their health. I rely on good quality studies to inform my practice. However, most of my learning that has helped me to better at my role has been based on actual experience with my patients. Nothing substitutes for deep experience with established results. Mr. Dutta clearly has both the science and the wisdom from his extensive experience.
I believe everyone could benefit from this teaching. I appreciate Mr. Dutta's willingness to publish his message and write it such an effective manner. I thank the author for the work he is doing to advance the best parts of the human spirit.

Easy to listen to and Inspiring

When I listened to the The Way of the Quiet Warrior I was concerned that I would not relate to a book from an author who was a CEO in the corporate world. Being an entrepreneur my entire life what could I gain from Mr. Dutta’s experiences? I was completely wrong with my initial assessment. First of all the stories were very intriguing and kept me engaged as I listened to learn more about the author and his personal experiences. As I listened to the story I could relate to many of his struggles in corporate America as they were very similar to the same struggles I dealt with as an entrepreneur. The sense of meaning in my life and the lack of time I had with my family or for my health made me extremely discontent and stressed out every day. It wasn’t until I had lost everything as Mr. Dutta had that I came to the realization that my life needed to change. Tom figured out a way to obtain true happiness and content in his life and his tools through The Way of the Quiet Warrior will be valuable to me as well.

Change Your Life This Week

Tom Dutta's book "The Way of the Quiet Warrior" is a must read for anyone trying to become a more authentic person, especially if you are in any kind of leadership capacity. Dutta takes us through his troubled home life and then increases the tension by showing how that affected his career as a leader in the corporate world for years. I especially loved the transparency and humility in Dutta's story and of how he transformed himself into the powerful, Quiet Warrior.

I had previously read Dutta's book last year, but thought I would listen to the current audio version to use as a refresher for my own leadership toolbox. I was taken aback by the powerful story in a much different way once I heard Dutta's words spoken by the amazing Chris Abell. The chapters seemed to carry more poignancy, authenticity, and resonance to my own personal and professional life. The audio production by Morgan James Publishing is A+ quality and Chris Abell was the absolute correct choice for the narration.

This audio version comes in at just under six hours, meaning that if you have a one hour daily commute you can radically change your thinking and begin living the life you desire by the weekend. I highly encourage you to take decisive action now and add The Way of the Quiet Warrior to your library so that you may begin your 90 day journey today!

Quiet Warrior: the Way to a Splendid Future

Usually, I am not interested in any kind of teachings on how to "become better at <...>", how to "change yourself/your life" and similar things. I was someone who always referred to myself as someone who needs no help from the outside and no words have ever got through me until the moment I find out the same truth myself. Well, yes, there is a character in that book, someone like me: strong and independent yet fragile and seeking someone to guide through this difficult world.

Tom Dutta's "The way of the Quiet Warrior" has a different approach on how to teach a person. It never says: "do this and you will be ok" or "you shouldn't do that because you will only ruin your life (as long as it not ruined by your senseless behavior already)".

This is a compilation of stories within a real story - the story of the author himself. As someone, who usually reads mostly fiction, I found this part appealing, and stories were interesting just on their own. The Narrator Chris Abell set those stories free, gave them life turning a mere "how to" audiobook into a set of captivating tails. I was so struck by how the author was so open about his own life which was not easy, that's for sure. In a composition of other stories that were much more fictional (however, based on some real people and their lives) it made a nice balance and tips that were incorporated inside the text did not seem too pushy or overdone. The listener is always able to choose what he wants to do and what he does not, the main point of the story itself - listen to different stories of people who went through the difficulties and how they defeated them - and hearing that find parallels with our own lives and choose what works on us.

The Quiet Warrior lets you grow a sword inside your heart to fight off all the challenges you might meet. But this sword is so delicate that it hurts no one; it is like a stream in your mind that is as swift as water and would find a way how to climb over any kind of obstacle found on its journey. Even though this audio is mostly about challenges in the business world those tips are so universal that everyone would find something useful for them.
