Heartwrenching, Yet Encouraging

Dutta has done a wonderful job with this book. Part autobiographical, part biographical, part fiction, all poignant to hammer home his points. I read and greatly appreciated the book, but wanted to also reinforce the lessons learned without having to commit time to sitting down to read. Kudos to Chris Abell for the way he was able to personalize the stories and the lessons. One did not recognize where author's voice ended and the narration began.

I've read a lot of self-help and business books in my life, but honestly cannot remember one that impacted me in the way The Way of the Quiet Warrior did. Though much different in story and approach, I would compare it to Og Mandino's classic "The Greatest Salesman in the World."

So Much to Like!

After hearing so many good things about Mr. Dutta's book, I purchased the audible version to accompany my recent six-hour road trip Also, I love inspiring stories about successful people who leave the corporate world to pursue the thing they always really wanted to do and were happier in doing so.
There was so much more as I listened to the narrator. The stories interspersed throughout are a touch of genius and incredibly captivating and relate-able. I will have to listen a second time to digest some gems I may have missed but, in all, I came away with a stronger sense of hope and greater motivation to not give up on my dreams and goals at this stage in my own life.
Although the book seems to be written for a mature audience such as those like myself who struggle with destructive issues in their past holding them back, I think this will be a perfect gift to give to my college-age grandson when he graduates soon with a degree in business & finance and launches into his own entrepreneurial career.
Thank you to the author who eloquently shared his heart and hard-earned wisdom.

Easy-to-listen-to guide on finding happiness!

For the person who feels stuck, the author describes a process for figuring out how to find happiness again. The process is simple, although the work at each step may be hard. By sharing the gut-wrenching story of his own life, Tom Dutta makes it okay for others to explore their own tragedies. The opening stories for each phase are beautifully written. They could be readable stories in their own right. Most people have deep pains they try to ignore. The Way of the Quiet Warrior shows how to use those pains to find a path for success.

Very easy to listen to and follow what you need to do next.

Highly recommemded!

I usually am not interested in coaching type of books but Tom Dutta's story that was composed of various different stories does not tell what to do, it shows various situations from author's life itself also illustrated with fictional versions that were based on real people and their stories. Narrator Chris Abell made a great job setting these stories to life with his soothing voice.

Audiobook of Quiet Warrior lets you grow a sword inside your heart that enables to fight off obstacles in our lives. This audiobook is directed to business people mostly but any other person would find it relatable as well.

Transformative message told in inspiring fashion

I read a lot of books about how we can become the best versions of ourselves. I enjoy writing that opens up your thinking about how to continue to evolve as a human being over your lifetime. This book was excellent and stands apart for a number of reasons.
1) The author wove "fictional" stories into the teaching. This takes courage. Most non-fiction authors, and I am one of them, focus on their primary message and how to deliver it effectively. By using stories, Mr. Dutta activated my feelings and emotions and not just my cognitive processes. This makes the teaching much more powerful. This clearly reflects his heart for this message which makes it more powerful for me. It also makes it more entertaining.
2) While he delivered a lot of information, he kept the message well organized and succinct. This was an easy book to listen to. The message was very clear and the stories kept you interested. He did not overtalk his points. He made them crystal clear and they followed a logical progression building upon themselves. The process he is proposing for discovering our purpose and taking the steps to realize that purpose feels doable and it makes sense.
3) He balanced the art and science of human development. His process is scientific and is founded on evidence-based principles. You feel you can trust the information. At the same time, the methods are based on his real experience working with real people over time. I am a physician who focuses on trying to help people change their habits to transform their health. I rely on good quality studies to inform my practice. However, most of my learning that has helped me to better at my role has been based on actual experience with my patients. Nothing substitutes for deep experience with established results. Mr. Dutta clearly has both the science and the wisdom from his extensive experience.
I believe everyone could benefit from this teaching. I appreciate Mr. Dutta's willingness to publish his message and write it such an effective manner. I thank the author for the work he is doing to advance the best parts of the human spirit.
